2019: Announcement

At the beginning of December, 2019 there was an official Nokia entry into the market of TVs. The company provided model of Nokia Smart TV which is controlled by means of operating system Android 9.0  with a possibility of installation of applications from Google the Android TV Play Store directory.

Innovation received the 55-inch display with   the resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, with a brightness of 400 nit, static contrast 1200:1, an aspect ratio 16:9, update rate of 60 Hz and viewing angles of 178 degrees in vertical direction and horizontals. The screen has a scarcely noticeable framework on each side and on top.

The quad-core processor with clock rate of 1 GHz and the built-in graphic Mali 450MP4 accelerator is the hardware basis for the device. The amount of an operational and fixed memory is 2.25 and 16 Gbytes respectively.

Besides, the device is completed with the dual-band module of wireless communication Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth, three HDMI connectors, two ports USB and one network Ethernet interface.

The TV is completed with the stereoloudspeakers and Sound by JBL, Dolby Audio and DTS Trusurround technologies bred under the 24 W screen which improve sound quality.

Also are available  MEMC technology  for dynamic compensation of image quality and function of automatic shading of the display for power saving and the choice of optimal brightness depending on lighting in the room.

Smart TV Nokia will be on sale at first only in India. The price — 42 thousand rupees (about $590). Sales of the TV will begin on December 10, 2019.

The producer is going to produce later the new models of TVs differing in the screen sizes. Product availability in Russia and other markets outside Indian at the time of the announcement it is not announced.^[1]
