2017: Availability to subscribers of all mobile operators of Belarus
At the beginning of a year of velcom based on the technological solution of SPB TV company started service which gives the chance to use interactive television to subscribers of all mobile operators through the whole country. This service is for the first time implemented in the territory of Belarus by mobile operators.
It is possible to connect service at any time remotely – to load the application enough or to visit the website http://voka.tv. On one number it is possible to connect up to five devices. The subscription to packets of video content can also be paid in the online mode.
The multimedia content of voka can be browsed through network of any operator of Belarus including Wi-fi technology. To the audience of television from velcom well to about 60 TV channels and extensive library of movies which are aggregated by SPB TV company. All TV channels are separated into thematic blocks – from sport to cinema. Video content is provided by selections of movies and series, Megogo online movie theater and a big collection of animated films – only about 10 thousand positions, including movies in the Full HD format.
Digital television of voka supports different interactive functions, such as pause, archive of telecasts, "rewind" of air and also opportunity to continue viewing on other device. Besides, the detailed program of telecasts is available to subscribers.
The interactive television is available on different devices. On the computer it can be looked via the browser, having passed to the special website voka.tv, on the smartphone and the tablet running iOS, Android or Windows 10 Mobile – using the free application of voka, and the TV will require the Google Chromecast or Apple TV mediaplayer. In the subsequent voka it will be possible to look also on the TVs supporting function of Smart TV.
2016: Integration of video from MEGOGO
The velcom company, one of telecommunication providers in Republic of Belarus, and SPB TV, the developer of technological solutions for broadcasting a body - and video content on different screens, announced in April, 2016 integration of voka service with video service of MEGOGO and adding of new packets.
The voka service was replenished with the basic SVOD directory of MEGOGO online movie theater. Users of service will be able to watch video on a subscription in the separate section of the Movies from MEGOGO application. In addition, Children's including both Russian, and foreign videos became available to subscribers of Voka a new packet.
Start of new packets is dated for release of updating of the application of voka within which viewing content not only through 3G, but also through wi-fi became possible.
The volume of library of MEGOGO online movie theater contains over 77,000 units of video. voka supports all mobile devices on operating systems Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The service is available in the territory of Republic of Belarus to subscribers of velcom (but does not extend to subscribers of TM "HI").
