2019: The agreement on digitalization of city infrastructure in the Saratov region

On October 11, 2019 there was information that the Beeline company will be engaged in implementation of the national program "Digital Economy" in the Saratov region. The agreement on it was signed by VimpelCom and the government of the Russian region. Joint work will be aimed at the development in the field of hi-tech modern infrastructure, specified in VimpelCom.

Implementation of different innovation projects in which technologies of wireless communication Wi-Fi and M2M will be used became one of the main directions of cooperation stated in the agreement. Besides, Beeline will develop region IT infrastructure by means of use of digital platforms, provision of services of data processing centers and other technologies.

The separate point registers the obligation to create in the Saratov region competences on use of information telecommunication technologies and technology processes for development of infrastructure.

At the heart of solving of tasks, connected with public administration in the Saratov region, there will be competences of Beeline in the analysis of Big Data. According to heads of the Russian region, it will help to increase the level of digitalization of city and utility infrastructure and economy. As expected, eventually, it will directly affect quality improvement of life and security in the Saratov region.

According to representatives of Beeline, development of hi-tech infrastructure will allow to optimize relationship between inhabitants of the region and government institutions. Besides, it will promote attraction of internal and foreign investments. The advantage for the Saratov region will consist as a result also in development of the IT sector and also small and medium business, in creation of additional jobs.^[1]
