Solvo.WMS manages a warehouse of the Belarusian company "Lidsky Beer"

Customers: Lidsky beer

Contractors: Solvo
Product: Solvo.WMS

Project date: 2019/02  - 2019/07

2019

On July 12, 2019 the SOLVO company reported that implementation of Solvo.WMS in a warehouse of JSC Lidskoye pivo successfully came to the end. The project was completely executed by specialists of "SOLVO" at the beginning of 2019.

Solvo.WMS manages a warehouse of the largest producer of beer in Belarus

According to the company, the main objectives which set JSC Lidskoye pivo for future WMS system:

  • Inventory process simplification;
  • Acceleration and increase in efficiency of personnel;
  • Implementation of shipment by the principle of FEFO;
  • Accurate tracking of the movement of loads on a warehouse;
  • Timely moving of products to a selection zone;
  • Acceleration and control of loading in motor transport;
  • Decrease in probability of regrading at assembly of orders;
  • Reduction of manual routine operations on management of a warehouse;
  • The system capable to work with printers applicators was necessary.

Among the WMS solutions presented at the market a system from "SOLVO" which at that time already had in the arsenal all necessary functions for logistics management of a warehouse by production was selected, in particular, the wide experience of "SOLVO" in work with warehouses of breweries allowed JSC Lidskoye pivo to make the decision for benefit of Solvo.WMS.

After implementation and setup of a system, personnel training and also a marking of a warehouse and marking of all products the warehouse was ready to work at the following level. All zones (acceptance, stacking, rack storage, boxed selection, a zone of assembly and shipment) and all main transactions performed in a warehouse were automated: receipt of products, its movement, placement according to ABC analysis, shipment, recalculation.

Besides, within the project integration of Solvo.WMS with the ERP system of M3 operating in a warehouse was implemented.

Thanks to implementation of Solvo.WMS in a warehouse the following technologies are applied now: The automated acceptance from production: information on the goods preparing for an exit from filling lines comes to the ERP system of M3 and from there to Solvo.WMS. Meanwhile ready keg and bottles arrive from a filling line on a palletayzer where are packed and take place on a pallet. Further the packed pallets move on a warehouse on the pipeline line. On the way special light sensors automatically fix passing a pallet and transfer information to the Solvo.WMS system where the load forms. Solvo.WMS transfers data on a load to the applicator which creates the corresponding cargo label with a barcode and applies it on passing to a pallet. In an acceptance zone in a warehouse the loader driver using the barcode scanner, fixes arrival pallets on a warehouse, and Solvo.WMS automatically creates tasks for placement a pallet in a warehouse according to rules and the strategy of placement.

Such technology allows to create loads in a system in the automatic mode without participation of the person that provides:

  • Exception of an opportunity to mix a sort (for example, beer);
  • Complete traceability of each load at each stage: from the acceptance moment on a warehouse and before hit on shelves of shop, including pokorobochno;
  • Simplicity of reconciliation with pouring;
  • Optimization of issue of works to the loader driver.

Autofloor planning of goods in the storage area: Solvo.WMS looks for the optimal place in a warehouse, proceeding from structure of a batch, fullness of a stack, group of goods, an ABC class.

Planning of orders for shipment is performed on the basis of the analysis of batches. Orders of certain types are planned automatically right after loading from ERP.

Solvo.WMS looks for the optimal place for placement of a load, proceeding from compliance of a batch, class AVS, quantity of the accepted loads. The manager (storekeeper) starts the order in work, enters a name of dock. The order is planned according to batches of M3 (ERP). The forklift operator is registered on dock, sees the request in the terminal. Solvo.WMS shows from what cell and what product quantity it is necessary to bring to dock. Further the driver himself selects in what order to him to put loads in the machine.

The automated replenishment of a zone of boxed selection. Assembly of orders in a zone of boxed selection happens taking into account fragility and residual expiration dates of products, FEFO, etc. After the end of assembly the packing list is automatically printed.

In process of shipment from a zone of boxed selection to the loader driver works on replenishment of a zone (commissioning) taking into account required batches arrive.

Solvo.WMS creates both paper inventory sheets, and tasks for recalculation for the shipping documentation of operators.

Thanks to Solvo.WMS implementation, there was an opportunity to create the following report types:

  • Report on busy cells (inventory);
  • Comparison of a remaining balance of M3;
  • The works performed by operators;
  • The report on arrangement of goods in a warehouse;
  • Report on fullness of a warehouse;
  • Indicators of work of a warehouse.

Tatyana Korolyova, the head of the logistics department of JSC Lidskoye pivo, noted the following results of system implementation of Solvo.WMS in a warehouse of the plant:

  • The percent of fillability of cells from 63 increased to 80;
  • Process automation of acceptance and shipment using RDT and scanners;
  • Transparency of execution of operations;
  • The storekeeper possesses information in real time;
  • Decision making by loader drivers is minimized;
  • Speed of loading of machines increased;
  • The quantity of errors at shipment decreased;
  • Inventory process simplification;
  • Easy adaptation of workers.
