The most flexible and convenient DPCs providers of cloud services in Russia are defined

Demand for cloud services from year to year grows. In parallel requirements to providers of services raise. From commercial data centers wait not only reliability and additional guarantees of service, but also and convenience, for example, in management of services today.

The cloud market grows in Russia, advancing dynamics of the IT market – at the level of 25-30% a year. According to TAdviser, more than 60% of the organizations from different branches of the economy of Russia confirm use of cloud services in 1 half-year 2017. The economic feasibility – an opportunity to rent "iron" or software remains the main driver for migration in a cloud, saving costs and also to optimize business processes to increase efficiency of activity of the enterprises.

In structure of cloud consumption in Russia IaaS dominates, allowing large business to solve problems of scalability of resources and cost optimization. Customers even more often select virtual infrastructure as the universal environment for start of new products and business development, providers of cloud services note.

It is expected that the share of cloud services in commercial data centers will continue to grow. In 2016 it made about 30%. At the same time in the market some deficit of the qualitative platforms conforming to international standards and with the high level of disaster tolerance is noted. According to iKS-Consulting, in the most advantageous provision today (both in respect of flexibility in relation to clients, and in terms of viability) - owners of big failsafe data centers which locate sufficient resources for formation of competitive offers.

Constantly requirements to reliability and fault tolerance of services raise. Today customers want more complex approach from data center: only one virtual infrastructure is already not enough, additional services - support, information systems administration are necessary, - Alexey Sevastyanov, the First Deputy CEO of DataLine confirms. - Also often requests for the cloud infrastructure corresponding to FZ-152 come.

Requirements to cloud services grow - to the forefront there are also issues of automation. It concerns as technology (for example, API for all services), and service aspects (electronic document management, automatic drawing of accounts, etc.). The continuity of work of the business and critical systems placed in a cloud remains one of key requirements to which pay attention first of all - Maxim Berezin, the development director of cloud services of Croc company confirms. – The quantity of "nine" in SLA is not an absolute measure. Much more important what technical parameters in SLA are guaranteed by provider. The number of "nine" can be big, and soft – then such SLA impracticablly will be to break parameters. Cloud SLA "Croc" remains to the most tough in the market at the moment. It provides high penalties at serious technical guarantees. For example, we are ready to guarantee performance of a disk subsystem to 100 thousand IOPS and its maximum allowed degradation within 3%. It allows to place in a cloud business and critical services with extreme requirements to performance.

Selection terms of provider

When choosing the supplier of cloud services the Russian customers are guided already not only by a price factor. Clients with large-scale and long-term projects consider also reputation of provider, his experience, financial and organizational stability, existence in a portfolio of large infrastructure cases, consider in Selectel. In the conditions of deficit or lack of own IT personnel SMB clients give preference to the suppliers offering expanded technical support and remote administration, Alexander Tugov adds.

Important as existence of scalable resources and an opportunity to flexibly change them on demand, and own data center, both good reputation of the company, and an opportunity to receive adjacent services (administration, backup, DR, consultation on migration and so forth), Alexey Sevastyanov comments.

In process of increase in the maturity level of customers more and more attention is given also to the DPC based on which cloud services are provided. The trust is defined by the level of fault tolerance of a cloud, quality and efficiency of technical support, consider in Croc. One more important factor is a controllability of cloud infrastructure, existence of API and also the built-in means on automation of work with a cloud. The compatibility with Amazon Web Services and an opportunity to build hybrid elastic infrastructures, the including foreign segments is quite often relevant for the international customers.

Competences of service of operation of data center as a guarantee of smooth operation of DPC are also among requirements when choosing provider, - Maxim Berezin supplements the list. - Our data centers are serviced by the command, only among system integrators, certified according to standards of continuous work of the engineering Uptime Institute systems. Including, the operational group can work also at platforms of the customer, at absence in staff of own specialists.

Today providers begin to segment the offer, trying to adapt the existing technologies and services for requests of different users. For example, special infrastructure services for big data and machine learning, cryptocurrency mining, etc. appear, Alexander Tugov tells.

In return, Maxim Berezin confirms that stable demand for services in lease of computing resources and additional services, such as BaaS or DRaaS remains (height of +35-40% a year). Along with it against the background of the accruing digitalization of economy and high demand on outsourcing of IT services the provider was focused on development of the managed services (managed services), including own DPCs provided based on network. As reported Croc in the press service, today the cloud integrator provides over 50 managed services: from data protection and IT infrastructure from failures before specialized services, such as BIM model from a cloud or the cloud IoT-platform.

Also we offer service in lease and support of the selected infrastructure of HaaS (HardWare as a Service) which at static or predictable loading from information systems of the customer is more economic in comparison with a cloud in the horizon of 3-5 years. At the same time the customer can always use resources of any of three cloud platforms Croc, if necessary having temporarily increased the volume of the consumed computing resources. Moreover rates for services of cloud platforms are by default included in the contract for lease of the selected virtual infrastructure, allowing the customer to use them quickly and without additional formalities, - Maxim Berezin added.

By preparation of the Top of 5 Most Reliable, Flexible and Convenient Suppliers of Cloud Services card the completeness of a portfolio and availability of services of providers – from the point of view of used technologies, service and the prices was estimated.

Several parameters for comparison were selected: reliability, security and availability of service, convenience of management of services, scalability, performance and localization.

Within parameters existence of own certified platforms and their number, skill level of a team of engineers, existence of SLA, a guarantee of high availability of servers, existence and quality of a management portal, existence of API and also a possibility of own developments / completions for customers was estimated, in particular.

The Russian market of services of DPC providers which is rather developed regarding the offer of the areas and capacities dynamically grows today in a part of quality improvement of service and expansion of the offer. Going to IaaS more and more deeply, customers are guided by additional functionality and possibilities of completions/customization which will allow them, in turn to create new competitive advantages. The flexibility in prompt reply to the changing requirements of the market becomes a new factor of gain of market positions for providers.
