2020: "1C:Enterprise 8. Restaurant. Front office"

On February 25, 2020 1C Company together with 1C-Rarus Development center informed users and partners on release of industry solution based on a technology platform "1C:Enterprise 8.3" – "1C:Enterprise 8. Restaurant. Front office" (further "1C: Restaurant. The front office"), intended for automation of the catering establishments working according to the classical scheme of service of guests with the waiter (execution of the preorder on a table).

According to the developer, using the solution the independent and network enterprises of any formats and concepts – restaurants, cafe, bars, dining rooms, divisions of a power supply of hotel and restaurant complexes, entertainment centers and other enterprises of a power supply can be automated.

Editor of the order

Configuration "Restaurant. The front office" it is developed on the basis of the standard Retail configuration, edition 2.3 systems of the programs "1C:Enterprise 8" with preserving of all main opportunities and mechanisms of the standard solution.

Solution "1C: Restaurant. The front office" "1C:Enterprise 8.3" which allows is developed on a technology platform:

  • provide high reliability, performance and scalability of a system;
  • organize work with a system via the Internet, in regime of the thin client or the web client (via the normal Internet browser), including in the "cloud" mode;
  • create mobile jobs using tablets and other mobile devices;
  • configure the interface for the specific user or a user group taking into account a role of the user, its access rights and individual preferences.

Industry features of accounting:

  • Independent work without back office – in the simplest option of use, for automation of process of service of guests, is enough to enter information on the menu, to quote the prices and it is possible to start registration of sales.
  • Two types of the user interface: normal for accounting and settings of a system, and specialized for work of personnel using the touch screen of the POS terminal.

For authorization by the user can be used both the virtual keyboard, and the card reader or the scanner of the barcode connected to a system.

The homepage with the list of interfaces available to the user can be adapted in a user mode for a specific institution, including names of points, icons and their arrangement.

The user interface can be also adapted as for features and the equipment of a specific institution, and for opportunities (sight, coordination, preferences) of the specific employee.

For example, the waiter can: increase and reduce the sizes of buttons of elements of the menu, set quantity of columns and lines, to manage type size, to Change the sizes of the table of the order by means of reduction or increase in a font.

For monitors of different permission and size display of structure of the menu can be also changed.

  • Workplace of the Waiter. It is possible to enter not only the blanket order of guests and comments on preparation/giving of dishes, but also to assign the order to table seats for separate payment of account guests. The option with consolidation/separation of orders between tables is supported.

  • Mobile application for the waiter for OS Android (it is available c Google Play). For acceleration of service of guests of restaurant it is convenient to use mobile application for the waiter which allows to accept and send quickly the order for kitchen and to bar, without departing from the guest.

Always the relevant menu and display of the stop-list will help to offer the guest an alternative in time, and the notification of the readiness of a dish will allow to service the guest most quickly.

  • Work with tables and workplace of the headwaiter. Individual creation of the scheme of halls and tables and also loadings of own images, will allow workers of an institution to visualize accurately location of places and will not allow to get confused in orders. The headwaiter can not only manage the plan of an institution and seating, but also to enter data on a deposit, the client, etc.

  • Workplace of the Cashier. All orders ready for payment from waiters are flown down on this workplace which allows the cashier to manage conveniently settlement with guests of restaurant.

  • Workplace of the cook. The solution supports also the classical scheme of printing of orders for service printers of kitchen, and work with the cook's display where all current orders, their structure and the status of preparation are displayed. The quantity of lines in the order, columns can be configured depending on the size and display resolution.

Using the display the cook can see what orders stand in a queue on preparation and to change the status of readiness of dishes or the order entirely, and the waiter (in case of use of mobile application) – to receive the notification on the mobile device on readiness of dishes.

  • Use of several types of the menu (without restrictions) with the manual or automatic choice at design/adjustment of the order. Availability of the menu by date, time, days of the week. At the same time for one dish the different prices for each type of the menu can be set.

  • Except types of the menu work with modifiers is supported. For example, the dish Pelmeni can be served with "vinegar" or "mayonnaise" modifiers. At the same time goods with the price or without it, and instructions for preparation can be modifiers as. Modifiers can be integrated in sets. It is possible apply restrictions on quantity to modifiers, for example, at sale of a dish it has to be selected at least one, but no more than two modifiers.

Using the mechanism of modifiers work as complex lunches is implemented. For calculation of one order it is possible to combine an unlimited number of types of payments. Depending on settings of a system, each payment type can create documents of implementation or documents of write-off. For example, it is possible to configure for the sake of appearances payments "entertainment expenses" when loading sales in a back office of 1C: A public catering automatic formation of the document "Write-off" which will correctly reflect such type of sale in accounting at once.

    • the simplified mode, without back office: use of the standard mechanism "Assembly of Goods in Sets" of the basic configuration "1C: Retail" (drawing up "set" for each dish – a dish complete set ingredients, write-off of ingredients and receipt of a dish, reflection of a remaining balance in an inventory control). Back office (line of solutions 1C: The public catering) can be connected in use with preserving of the saved-up credentials.
    • expanded accounting, connection as a back office of a line of solutions 1C: Public catering: complex automation, process and calculation charts, industry printed forms of the OP series, release cost accounting taking into account industry specifics (loss when processing, analogs, seasonal coefficients of an excessive consumption of raw materials, the enclosed semi-finished products, accounting of investment shortages), accounting of chemical and power indicators (HEH) of culinary products, synchronous reflection of primary documents in accounting and tax accounting.

  • Data exchange:
    • Unified State Automated Information System. Full support of requirements of the legislation for work with alcohol. Two options of work with opening of a container are supported: creation of the act of opening of a bottle with sending to a back office of 1C: A public catering for further processing or creation of the act of opening with sending the document of write-off to the Unified State Automated Information System directly from "1C: Restaurant. The front office" passing a back office.
    • Deposit and discount and bonus servers for implementation of own programs of loyalty, support of the settlement scheme "the card on an input" or the organization of a corporate and subsidized power supply of staff of the enterprise (the personified accounting of employees, limits of grants of the number of meal or the amount in a day \week \month with restriction of the used set of dishes in grants and also accounting of a special power supply (dry rations, milk "for harm", etc.).

For this purpose in the solution "1C: Restaurant. The front office" is provided the open interface of data exchange that allows to connect servers of different producers. The first such connected and working servers are "Restart: Deposit and discount server" and "1C-Rarus: Bonus service" from 1C-Rarus company.

At solution development "1C: Restaurant. The front office" results of implementation and operation of solutions for automation of catering establishments in more than 1600 organizations of the industry are considered. At the same time the solution underwent certification of "1C: Compatible".

Users of software products "1C: Restaurant. The front office" with program protection which need to use hardware protection (USB key) in work can be purchased "1S:SLK. Hardware carrier of licenses (USB)".

Due to the release of the software product "1C: Restaurant. The front office" since 2/25/2020 the solution "1C:Enterprise 8. The restaurant" is removed from sales. Shipment of the main delivery "1C:Enterprise 8. Restaurant" and client licenses to it, after 2/25/2020 it will be possible only for users who already purchased earlier this product.

2013: The certificate of compatibility of 1C is received

Program "1C: Restaurant" underwent necessary certification in 1C Company, the 1C-Rarus company reported on August 12, 2013 and received the status "Compatibly! System of programs 1C: Enterprise".

According to the statement of developer company, the solution is successfully integrated with the back office systems, implementing complex automation of catering establishments. The program is suitable for any formats of the enterprises of a public catering: restaurants, bars, cafe and finishing with institutions of fast food and dining rooms.

Being the solution of the class front-end, the program can be installed, as at restaurants, as an independent system, and together with back office products, such as "1C: Public catering" or "1C: A public catering for Ukraine" that helps to organize complex automation of the enterprises of a public catering.

2011: Features

The software product is developed based on "1C: Enterprise 8.2" and has all advantages of this platform.

According to for June, 2011 the solution is intended for automation of the network and single enterprises of any formats and concepts:
