Biography
Alexander Vadimovich Izosimov was born in 1964 in Yakutsk.
He graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute, and also received an MBA at the INSEAD business school.
Alexander Izosimov has extensive experience working in senior leadership positions and on the boards of directors.
In 1991-1996 Alexander Izosimov worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. (Stockholm, London) and was involved in numerous projects in the field of transport, mining, industrial production and oil business.
In 1996-2003 he held various leadership positions at Mars, including the position of regional president for the CIS, Central Europe and Scandinavia. He was also a member of the executive board of Mars.
From 2003 to 2011 He served as President and CEO of VimpelCom.
2012: Member of Evraz Board of Directors as Independent Director
Evraz announced in February 2012 the appointment of Alexander Izosimov as a member of the company's board of directors as an independent director.
