Pilot:PGS are the specialized solution for design in industrial and civil engineering as a part of a universal COMPLEX of ASCON.

2012

The Pilot:PGS system ensures full-fledged collective work over the project with support of technology of end-to-end design. The efficiency and controllability of the project organization increases at the expense of a complex of solutions:

PILOT:PGS 2013

On February 5, 2013 the ASCON company presented the updated corporate solution on the basis of the systems of Pilot:PGS 2013, LOTSMAN:ORD 2013 and the mobile client of LOTSMAN: 24. The product allows to manage project works in stationary and mobile workplaces, to keep approval and project-based accounting, to exercise designer's and technical service.

In 2011 Pilot:PGS found a wide range of possibilities: automatic comparison of document revisions with highlighting of distinctions, work with DWFx-files, barcodes, document revisions, functionality of the XPS Editor, templates of mailing lists of tasks. Besides, the planning module of Rubius Project Manager and mobile application of LOTSMAN:24 became available to users to operating systems iOS and Android.

PDF is included

The Pilot:PGS 2013 version comprises new features. System developers took the first step in support of the PDF format, implementing a possibility of adding in a tree of projects documents of the PDF format. Now the project organization, receiving from the subcontractors documents in this format, can save them as a part of the project without additional preparation, including — as one of sets of drawings. At the same time in a tree of projects viewing not only drawings, but also 3D models in the PDF format will be available.

Process of the premises of such documents in the project in Pilot:PGS 2013 is automated.

Evident dynamics of approval

Changes concerned also process of approval of documents as a part of the project. Thanks to a new feature of the evident indicator of progress of approval, looking at structure of the project, the user will see in what stage of signing there is an interesting document.

Higher speed

For fall forward and convenience of work with compound "Explanatory notes" documents and others new opportunities of the XPS Editor are implemented: display of the added document, selection of several pages a frame, search of the added page doubleclick.

Planning updating

The new version of a planning module of Rubius Project Manager is prepared for a release of Pilot:PGS 2013. In the new version of RPM load of the database when scheduling works is considerably reduced, the dialog allowing to select projects by method, usual for users — from a tree of projects is implemented. The algorithm of scaling of the chart Ganta allowing to place with ease all chart of the long-term plan on one screen became one more convenient innovation. In the nearest future in the module there will be instruments of report generation, drawing up plans on the basis of templates, delegations of the rights to viewing and editing plans.

Support

During lifecycle of Pilot:PGS 2013 users of a system will be able to receive free automatic updates with new functionality.

2014: Pilot: PGS 2014

On March 17, 2014 the ASCON company submitted the new version of a corporate system of management of the project organization on the Pilot platform: PGS 2014.

In the new version the main focus is placed on development of API (application programming interface) for improvement of processes of thin setup and satisfaction of customers needs in additional functionality. The opportunities put in the Pilot: PGS 2014 and Pilot: ORD 2014, allow to reduce labor input of development of plug-ins, to independently replace commands in dialogs of a system. Development tools of plug-ins contain the educational scenario which is completely describing the mechanism of work with a task.

In addition to development of API of the Pilot:PGS 2014 system and LOTSMAN:ORD of 2014 contain all new products and completions which were transferred to users by updates gradually, from the moment of a release of the previous version — in them adding and viewing files of the PDF and 3D PDF format, automatic import of files of the formats DWFx, XPS, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP to structure of the project, creation of requests for the signature for several documents are implemented.

There was a new functionality for work with files and documents, it will make collective work on the project more convenient. For example, blocking of the file at its editing saves from the conflict of versions at simultaneous operation of several users.

The planning module and project managements of RPM in composition of management of design data of Pilot:PGS 2014 underwent changes and shows new approaches to planning. Often in project management systems plans "live" in a separation from physical results of work (in the form of a documentation package), and in the module RPM communication of plans with operational tasks on the basis of which the structure of the project forms is performed. Also the scenario of work with the plan changed — now it is possible to use templates of plans and a message the reference book of standard factory jobs with indication of labor input.
