Biography

Andrei Belousov was born on March 17, 1959 in Moscow.

In 1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University.

  • In 1981-1986 - trainee researcher, then - junior researcher at the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences (CEMI).

  • Since January 1991 - Head of the Laboratory of the Institute of National Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

  • From September 2000 to February 2006 - Director of the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting.

Awards

In 1997 he was awarded the medal "In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow." In 2007, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov was awarded the honorary title "Honored Economist of the Russian Federation."

In 2009 he was awarded the Order of Honor.

Religious activities

In February 2019, the Nezygar telegram channel reported that for a year now, as Andrei Belousov, assistant to the president on economic issues, has been conducting church services in a church in a small village in the Vladimir region. Belousov built the temple with his own money.
