During a week from December 17 to December 23 in IT market calm on the eve of New Year's holidays. Perhaps, summing up development of the federal program "Information Society" will become the most noticeable event of week.

This day the results of the federal program "Information Society" will be summed up. The main objective of a conference – to sum up the results of 2012 in the field of information technologies, to tell about the main achievements of the industry and to light plans and tasks of informatization for the future year.

This day Anatoly Isaykin, the CEO Rosoboronexport was born.

December 18

On December 18 in St. Petersburg the practical conference and a festival of the mobile solutions "Top Mobile Conference 2012" will take place.

December 19: Birthday of Nikolay Komlev

This day Nikolay Komlev, the chief executive of AP KIT Association of the enterprises of computer and information technologies was born.

December 20: Birthday of Boris Babayan

On December 20 the birth is noted by Boris Babayan, the Soviet and Russian scientist, the developer of ADP equipment; corresponding member of the Russian AN. The author of works by the architectural principles of creation of computer systems, the computer software. The first European scientist awarded ranks Intel Fellow.


One more birthday boy of day -Eduard Ostrovsky, the deputy director general on implementation of special programs and interaction with state bodies of Megafon company.

December 21: Birthday of Dmitry Rogozin

On December 21 Dmitry Rogozin, the diplomat, the Doctor of Philosophy, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia was born.

December 23

65 years ago the American physicists William Shokli, John Bardin and Walter Bratteyn showed the first transistor. In 1956 scientists were awarded with the Nobel Prize on physics "for researches of semiconductors and discovery of transistor effect". John Bardin was soon conferred the Nobel Prize for the second time for creation of the theory of superconductivity. Later transistors replaced vacuum lamps in the majority of electronic devices, having made revolution in creation of integrated circuits and computers. The name for the new device was thought up by John Pearce.
