Its founder,Yury Milner, fall of 2010 gained $112 million from IPO Mail.ru Group, created this fund for financing of startups in Silicon Valley. Earlier Milner said that he is going to invest the money earned for Mail.ru Group in online projects as it "one of the most perspective directions for the next 10 years".

January 29: Birthday of Alexander Mamut

On January 29 Alexander Mamut, the Russian entrepreneur and the financier, the chairman of consultative committee of Euroset was born. Also the shareholder of Nomos-bank and Euroset and also Spar Moscow Holding which possesses Spar grocery stores in Russia. Takes the 40th place in the rating of the Russian-language version of Forbes "The richest businessmen of Russia — 2012". Alexander Mamut's fortune is estimated in $2.1 billion.

This day the Russia's first city mail network was organized 180 years ago. St. Petersburg was the place where for the first time in Russia city mail appeared.
