Orange Business Services changes a management system for means of authentication

The Softline company implemented the project of migration of a management system for lifecycle of means of authentication for Orange Business Services on the version of SafeNet Authentication Manager (SAM), the press service of integrator reported on April 2, 2013.

Job

To specialists of Softline set the task – to perform transition from the outdated version of a management system for lifecycle of electronic keys of Token Management System to the new version. To resolve a task, the working group needed to collect data on an information system of the customer and to develop an optimal solution. After that specialists of Softline company offered the project on implementation of the software package SafeNet Authentication Manager.

Advantages of the proposed solution:

• reduction of expenses on maintenance of information systems due to automation of standard transactions that allows to reduce total cost of ownership an information system (TCO) and to increase an indicator of an investment payback (ROI);
• increased security and controllability of IT systems of the enterprise and also transfer of administration control and audit on qualitatively new level;
• simplification of implementation and management of lifecycle of smart cards and USB keys at all operational stages, including questions of inventory.

Result

From the moment of initial discussion before "turnkey" delivery, the Softline company spent 14 days. As a part of a complex of works three main stages:

• preparation,
• implementing solution
• development of operational documentation.

Important aspect for both parties was the list of criteria:

• faultless interaction of SafeNet Authentication Manager with electronic keys and the customer's smart cards;
• detailed instruction for updating of client modules and further administration of SAM.
