History

2017: Enaza sale to the Softline and SkyparkCDN group - to G-Core holding

In 2017 one of the companies of the inMedia group - Enaza - was sold in Softline, and one more - SkyparkCDN - to the Luxembourg holding G-Core.

2014: Inmedia buys Intech and a share of MCP in Nikita

In June, 2014 it became known that the inMedia investment company of Evgeny Zhulanov completed purchase of provider of mobile content of Nikita from Marshall Capital fund of Konstantin Malofeyev and purchased value added services provider of cellular communication Intech company. Only Nikita was estimated approximately at $10 million. Sale of provider became possible after the settlement agreement of Malofeyev with VTB: assets of the businessman were frozen for the period of a lawsuit with "subsidiary" of bank.

Manages a company performance of inMedia since 2010. But the group could not purchase provider long time: the former owner — Marshall Capital of the billionaire Konstantin Malofeyev (in 2010-2013 was the largest minority shareholder of Rostelecom) — had to display at first assets from under arrest.

In August, 2011 the court in London as an interim measure in the claim of VTB Capital froze transactions with the property of Marshall Capital. VTB required to indemnify the loss caused by fraudulent activity which result was a write-off from bank accounts more than $225.05 million as the credits to structures of Marshall Capital. Arrest of assets worked till February, 2014 — till the moment when Malofeyev signed the settlement agreement with VTB.

According to a source of RBC, Nikita in the transaction estimated "more expensive than $10 million".

Besides, ownership of Nikita meant reputational risks. In the summer of 2011 Malofeyev founded League of the safe Internet — non-profit organization which is engaged in identification of content which is not intended for children in Network. The league, for example, drafted the law on creation in Russia of the register of the prohibited websites with promotion of suicides, drugs and a child pornography. In 2012 the blogger Anton Nosik detected advertizing of images of the Russian pornstar of Elena Berkova on the website Nikita and accused Malofeyev of hypocrisy.

In 2005 the similar transaction took place: then the British Monstermob Group Plc purchased the largest Russian content provider Infon who possessed more than 15% of the Russian market dopuslug, the head of the analytical department of Golden Hills Kapital-AM investment company Natalya Samoylova remembers. According to her, then paid $27 million and Intech for Infon too it could be estimated at "the similar amount". The CEO of inMedia Ekaterina Sedinina told RBC that Nikita and the Rostelekontent content aggregator which works including with Rostelecom will be attached to Intech.

2013: Suspicions of affiliation with Marshall Capital Partners

According to Contour-Focus base, for April, 2013 80% the share in InMedia belongs to the Cyprus offshore of Tashamit Investments, and the remained 20% - to Zhulanov (some time he was a CEO and InMedia).

For April, 2013 InMedia still belongs to MCP, the former top manager of Svyazinvest is sure. Knows about it also a source in one of content providers holding negotiations with Nikita. Many former and present assets of InMedia, namely Freshstor, TsUP, RTK LLC, Sinerzhi, Telecom Asset and "Info content" are registered in Perm.

The interlocutor of CNews from among the former heads of Svyazinvest explains it so: these companies were created around Uralsvyazinform by the former head of this company Anatoly Ufimkin. And in 2010, after Ufimkin's resignation, he sold their MCP which based on regional assets began to create federal projects around all Rostelecom. The fact that it is the former assets of Ufimkin confirms also the former employee of Uralsvyazinform. But in InMedia this information was denied.

The affiliation of InMedia with MCP could explain good communications of holding with Rostelecom. However the CEO of InMedia Ekaterina Sedinina (the former adviser to the CEO Nikita) in April, 2013 told CNews that there is no MCP among shareholders of holding. Who except Zhulanov is among co-owners of holding, in InMedia do not speak.

As for Nikita, in 2010 MCP transferred this provider to the control of InMedia, Sedinina explained.

"Purchase of this asset, but as MCP could not make actions with the assets was initially planned, the transaction did not take place, - the CEO of InMedia says. - Now negotiations on purchase were resumed"[1].

Ekaterina Sedinina explained active cooperation with Rostelecom with a number of victories in the corresponding tenders of the operator. At this Bradbury Lab lost some tenders, and Freshstor to Rostelecom already cooperated with Mail.ru Group, ER-Telecom and Svyaznoy.

Among clients of the company in 2013 were: Rostelecom, Svyazinvest, MGTS, MegaFon, MTS, VimpelCom (brand Beeline), Yandex, Softkey, Qiwi, Google Widevine, "AKADO", Stream / STREAM, ER-Telecom Holding, Aeroflot, Transaero, SkyExpress, Svyaznoy, Media Prof holding, Central partnership, Luxor, TNT-Teleset, Moscow 24 (VGTRK), MTV, Bazelevs, A1, Avtoradio and others.

2010: Creation of Optima company near Svyazinvest

The former name InMedia - Optima. In 2010 the presentation of the project of this holding which at that moment was created around Svyazinvest was at disposal of CNews. In the presentation it was told that 80% of stocks of holding will belong to MCP fund, and the remained 20% - to the CEO of that time Nikita Evgeny Zhulanov. Not all projects which were planned by holding managed to be performed. So, the idea to turn Telecom-Aktiv company into the intermediary in sale of Internet traffic between "subsidiaries" of Svyazinvest was not performed. It was not possible and make of the Info-kontent company which created call center for Uralsvyazinform, the uniform operator of call centers for all Svyazinvest. By 2013 both of these companies are already displaid out of limits of holding.
