Biography

Born in 1971 in the village of Yavas, Zubovo-Polyansky district of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (MASSR).

She graduated from the Faculty of Management of the Russian State Humanitarian University, Faculty of Management, received a master's degree in economics.

She completed additional training at LABA, HSE, The GAP International, Harvard Business School, INSEAD, BCM Institute, ACCA.

Lyudmila has extensive experience in the areas of financial management and control, investment planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Her professional activities in the field of corporate finance management include work in the largest Russian and foreign companies: Independent Media, ACNielsen, Hewlett-Packard Russia.

For eight years, Lyudmila Smirnova held the position of vice president and corporate director for finance of the Hearst Shkulev Media/InterMediaGroup publishing house, producing publications such as ELLE, MAXIM, Marie Claire and Psychologies. Under the leadership of Lyudmila, the structure of the group of companies was reorganized, as well as a project was implemented to automate and optimize the company's business processes.

From September 2012 to February 2017, she held the position of financial and administrative director. Tele2 Russia

In March 2017, CNews became known that Lyudmila Smirnova joined the global structure of Kaspersky Lab as CFO. In this position, Lyudmila Smirnova is responsible for financial and management reporting, for planning and budget execution, for financial flow management, as well as for administrative issues within the framework of Kaspersky's worldwide business.

2020: Chief Financial Officer of VimpelCom

On July 20, 2020, PJSC VimpelCom (Beeline brand) announced the appointment of Lyudmila Smirnova as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the company.

In her post, Lyudmila will be responsible for the financial and management reporting, planning and execution of the Beeline budget.

In this position, Lyudmila will work directly under the general director of Beeline Alexander Torbakhov.

2022: Deputy General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding

Gazprom-Media Holding on June 14, 2022 announced the appointment of Lyudmila Smirnova, Deputy General Director of the company. She will deal with financial, corporate and operational issues.
