Biography

Andrei Valerievich Cheglakov was born on December 25, 1966 in Chelyabinsk, where he graduated from school.

In 1988 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University; is a candidate of economic sciences.

From 1988 to 1991 - engineer of the Institute for the Development of the North of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Tyumen).

"Steepler" and "Tensor"

In 1991, he founded and headed the Steepler company, which was engaged in the supply of computer equipment and equipment to the Russian market, fulfilled orders for software development and system integration, and was also engaged in the assembly of Dendy consoles.

In the mid-1990s, Cheglakov and his partners (in particular, Andrei Andreev, who was then the vice president of Steepler) became the controlling shareholders of the Tensor plant (engaged in the production of devices and equipment for the nuclear industry), winning the competition of the State Property Committee of Russia for the sale of the enterprise.

Andrei Andreev, according to 2015, is the chairman of the board of directors of the Tensor plant.

In 1999, "Steepler" ceased to exist. The main reason for this was a conflict with the Federal Government Communications Agency (FAPSI) over a contract to automate the activities of the State Duma for $30 million[1] of[1]

"Goznak" and "Marusya"

In 2003, Cheglakov was appointed Deputy General Director of the Goznak Association for Science and Development. In 2006, he became Deputy General Director of FSUE Goznak for production, and since 2011 - Advisor to the General Director.

Since the mid-2000s, Cheglakov became interested in racing cars and became a co-owner and CEO of the automotive company MaRussia Motors.

2013: Senior Vice President of Rostelecom

In May 2013, Andrei Cheglakov was appointed Senior Vice President of Rostelecom. He was responsible for the implementation of projects within the framework of the Federal Program "Information Society."

2014: Investments in "New Cloud Technologies" and "Startpak"

At the same time, Service Plus bought a stake in Startpak from the wife of Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov, Svetlana.

In April 2015, the Vedomosti newspaper reported that Andrei Cheglakov directly bought 40% of New Cloud Technologies[3]. Service Plus remained the owner of 43% of NOTH.

2016: Purchase 76.6% in UFS

In April 2016, Andrei Cheglakov became the owner of 76.6% in the company "Universal Financial System," which develops solutions for sellers of railway and air tickets.

2018: Sale of 5% of "New Cloud Technologies" to Alexander Timchenko

In February 2018, Andrei Cheglakov sold a 5% stake in New Cloud Technologies to Alexander Timchenko.

2019: Increase in interest in New Cloud Technologies to 77.8%

CEO of New Cloud Technologies

On March 10, 2022, it became known that the New Cloud Technologies company (the developer of the MyOffice office suite) had changed its management.

So, the post of general director since March 10 was taken by Andrei Cheglakov, who since December 2016 was the chairman of the board of directors. In turn, the founder of the company Dmitry Komissarov, who previously held the position of general director, moved to the position of director for product development and development, while maintaining membership in the board of directors.

As explained in the company, a change in the management structure is necessary "to expand the product portfolio and optimize operational processes."

"New cloud technologies" sell licenses for their products, including abroad. The company admits that due to the economic situation, the cost of products may increase "along with the expansion of their functionality." Against the background of the departure of the largest foreign developers from the Russian market, corporate customers began to massively purchase domestic software: the demand for office packages over the past week has grown by more than 600%.[4]

In recent days, the leadership has also changed at the National Center for Informatization of the Rostec Group of Companies (read more about this here) and the Softline holding (more here ). According to experts, against the background of a surge in demand for Russian software, the founders of companies want to be closer to operating activities.

Leaving the post of CEO "New Cloud Technologies"

On September 5, 2022, it became known about the appointment of Pavel Kalyakin as the new general director of MyOffice, which develops software for working with electronic documents.
