IDGC of the North Caucasus start the portal for internal needs

On January 24, 2014 the Softline company announced project completion of development of the internal portal and mobile application for IDGC of the North Caucasus.

Project Tasks

The tool which at any time will provide quick access to reporting information and different indicators of activity of structural divisions of the company is necessary for the management of IDGC of the North Caucasus for ownership of the situation connected with the current business of the company and a possibility of operational acceptance of management decisions.

"Earlier the reporting was kept in Excel, besides, based on activity for the management the presentations in Power Point prepared. Manage such large volume of data it was rather problematic therefore the system allowing not only to structure the available information, but also to customize data mapping in an evident type was necessary for us. Having studied different software products in this area, we stopped on MS SharePoint 2010 which, in our opinion, is an optimal solution of similar tasks", – Denis Svetlichny, the head of department of KISU of department of information technologies of JSC IDGC of the North Caucasus noted.

Project Progress

Within the project the multifunction portal is developed, it provides in an evident format representation of the presentations, the reference information and key indicators of activity of all structural divisions of the company for the reporting periods.

Project Results

In view of specifics of activity heads of IDGC of the North Caucasus are forced to work often far off, to leave in business trips, on meetings. Therefore the command of Softline created mobile application which is synchronized with the portal and even in the mode "offline" provides access to the data placed on it, regardless of location of the user. The application is developed under the tablets used by top managers.

"One of interesting features of this solution is that the presentations uploaded on the portal in the Power Point format automatically are converted into jpg-files and pages are displayed "in a body". Also the so-called print manager allowing to receive in only several clicks paper versions at once of several presentations and reports was implemented. The developed functionality considerably will save time of heads and will facilitate perception of information", – Boris Syrovatkin, the manager of projects of department of development of Softline company told.
