Calix E7-2 GPON-4 - the module is equipped with 4 GPON interfaces and eight GE interfaces, 4 ports 10GE.
Calix E7-2 GPON-4
The module is held for use in the E7-2 chassis, supports up to 64 ONT on GPON port. Gives ample opportunities for deployment of networks using resource-intensive services (IPTV, VoIP, video-on-demand, etc.). Simple in management and the universal system of access and aggregation with maximum in the class density of ports.
Each module Calix GPON-4 has 4 GPON ports allowing to connect up to 64 ONT everyone at the maximum range of 40 km. With two slots of GPON-4 it is possible to connect to one E7-2 chassis up to 512 ONT.
8 GE ports allow to provide broadband access to Ethernet to services of certain subscribers or to aggregate the channel for access to other devices in an Ethernet medium. The possibility of stacking allows to expand possibilities of network in process of its growth to 20 E7-2 chassis, receiving, as a result, the failsafe platform in the small body.

High-performance switching matrix
E7-2 GPON-4 the module is based on the switching core maintaining functionality of 2 and 3 levels, transfer at a speed of wires of all types of traffic, frames of any size. The connected modules of the commonly accepted standards, including ITU G.984 GPON, GE and 2.5GE SFP and also 10GE SFP+ and XFP are supported. SFP+ ports support connection of SFP modules and direct connection of copper cables.
Providing IP services
Calix E7-2 GPON-4 modules allow to provide a full range of IP services through GPON and Point-to-Point Ethernet of network.
- IPTV - multicastes and Video on Demand (VoD);
- MEF the certified model of providing services;
- High-Speed Internet (HSI) access;
- Support of Voice is Native SIP/VoIP and TDM Gateway;
- T1 services;
- CATV: 1550nm RF video overlay; 1610nm RF return.
Stability of network
All modules support by Calix E7 a flexible set of the standardized network protocols for use in networks of aggregation, ring topology and connections of uplink.

- IEEE 802.3ad/802.1AX Link Aggregation.
Quality of the provided services
With the built-in support of network synchronization, the hierarchical QoS model and support of T1 of Calix GPON-4 services triple play and the MEF model in the compact body represents the uncompromising solution for providing broadband access, support of services.
The full support of algorithms of classification, policing and scheduling allows operators to manage both subscribers, and services directly for control of priorities, delays and losses.
Support of IPTV
To IPTV service the most high requirements for quality of providing service are imposed. E7 platform supports the IGMP and IGMP snooping standard for determination and transfer of a video flow between receivers and video servers, providing effective, scalable, high-quality transfer of IPTV on GPON and Ethernet-interfaces.
2014: Calix E7
On August 22, 2014 the Calix company announced availability of the new GPON platform in Russia.
The Calix company certified and brought to the Russian market E7 platform for the organization of networks of gigabit optical access [1].
E7-2 platform - the only platform of a similar class with a density from 4 to 16 ports of GPON of 1U forms - factor with a possibility of operation at temperatures from-40 to +65 With °.
