On August 26, 2014 the Cisco company announced upgrade of IT infrastructure in the government of Khabarovsk Krai. In the project solutions of Cisco are used.

Project Tasks

Based on procedures of the state order the LANIT-PARTNER company became the contractor of the project on upgrade of outdated IT infrastructure.

Project Results

In a project deliverable the multiservice data network is created, local ychislitelny networks (LAN) of buildings are upgraded, the monitoring system of network equipment is implemented, a system is unrolled unified communications.

The last includes subsystems of the IP telephony, video conferences (VIDEOCONFERENCING), instant messages, web conferences, contact center using the uniform directory of users and the accessibility to them both from stationary, and from mobile devices.

The multiservice data network integrates two main complexes of buildings, two platforms of a data processing center (DPC) and 15 branches within Khabarovsk. A trunk part of multiservice network, is constructed on the basis of the Cisco ASR routers connected on topology "ring" provides capacity of 10 Gbps.

Switching of traffic using MPLS technology isolates the data transferred by structural divisions, provides access isolation to resources of DPC by L2 and L3 organization of VPN connections. The possibility of cryptographic information protection using the information security tools certified in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation is provided.

In the course of upgrade of a LAN the managed Cisco switches with support of technology of power supply by means of the equipment cable (PoE), in two main complexes of buildings — modular switches of the kernel level of a LAN which implement connection of switches of the access level on failsafe topology are installed. For providing opportunities of wireless technologies the Wi-fi network isolated from a LAN is unrolled. With the purpose of monitoring of network equipment of a LAN and a multiservice data network the software of Cisco PRIME was implemented. The IP telephony subsystem constructed on the basis of the solution Cisco Unified Communications Manager provides satisfaction of needs for telephone communication to all executive bodies of executive power of the region and supports more than 2 thousand subscribers. By August 26, 2014 more than 1 thousand Cisco IP phones are installed.

Meetings and web conferences, including with participation of the external subscribers who are connected through the Internet are held using the Cisco Hosted WebEx servers placed in DPC of the Government of the region. For video conferencing more than ten VKS systems, including MSE 8000 server cluster providing a possibility of the organization of meetings in a format of high resolution (HD) are implemented.

For access to the system of unified communications from mobile devices with a possibility of commission of an audio/video calls and instant messaging Cisco Jabber software is used. Client part Cisco Jabber can be established on personal computers and workstations running the operating system (OS) Windows and mobile devices running OS Android and iOS.

Heads of structural divisions of executive authorities of edge have an opportunity to participate in sessions of VKS using codecs, IP phones with function of video conference and mobile devices that in some cases allows to use more rationally working time and to reduce costs on business trips.

By means of upgrade of IT infrastructure Government Khabarovsk edges solved a number of problems. Network infrastructure began to conform to modern requirements, including for a broadcast of traffic the IP telephony and VKS, its fault tolerance is considerably increased. Communication expenses due to transition to SIP channels were reduced. Use of technologies of web conferences and VKS helped to reduce transportation costs and costs of working time. Transmission quality and acceptance of facsimile messages improved, with creation of contact center of new generation service quality of external subscribers increased.
