Bentley Hammer

Hammer is the software tool for transient analysis and modeling of hydraulic shocks.

We work as HAMMER with materials by the theory of a hydraulic shock and transient analysis and performs important work for designers and engineers.

A system is focused on municipal services, municipalities and the project companies for the effective identification, control and risk minimization connected with transition processes.

2014: New version of HAMMER V8i

On September 16, 2014 the Bentley Systems company announced release of software of HAMMER V8i (SELECTseries 5) for information modeling, design and the analysis of water supply systems. Improved by software for information modeling expands information mobility in the field of modeling, design and operation of water supply systems, providing closer cooperation inside and between stages of lifecycle of infrastructure and also promoting acceptance of more reasoned decisions for improvement of indicators of the project and performance improvement of a system.

New opportunities of modeling in real time improve visual control and forecasting, provide decision support.

The release of HAMMER in the new version promotes further increase in information mobility in design process, development and operation. Results of modeling can be published in the existing window of system control of SCADA of utility company using the standard protocol of communication of OPC. Such "modeling of performance of assets" allows system operators to derive benefit from finding of an optimal solution, estimating and displaying results of modeling directly in the user interface which they regularly use.

HAMMER gives to users the chance of viewing data of SCADA in real time and for last period, allows to compare data of SCADA with data of results of modeling, including demonstration of alarm signals directly in hydraulic model. Hi-tech visualization tools allow creators of hydraulic models to monitor changes of signals of SCADA in response to events in real time similar to the screen of the human-machine interface (HMI) that allows them to control directly a situation and to optimize decision making process.

Additions

Users of HAMMER in the new version can:

• start several scenarios in the batch mode similar to batch mode in WaterCAD and WaterGEMS.
• publish hydraulic models (including results) in the container i-model for use, in Bentley Map Mobile, the application which works on tablets Android, iPad and iPad mini;

create models in the latests version of MicroStation, AutoCAD (including AutoCAD 2015) and ArcGIS (including ArcGIS 10.2).
