Rostelecom started Virtual office in the National Cloud Platform project

On June 30, 2015 the IT company announced creation and start by request of Rostelecom of the solution on the platform of multiple lease for providing corporate services within the National cloud platform.

The project assumed development of a uniform control panel by service which became a basis of Virtual office.

National cloud platform which operator Rostelecom is the complex of the integrated information systems intended for provision of services on model of cloud computing to executive authorities of different level, local government authorities, commercial the organizations and to individuals.

For June 30, 2015 Virtual office integrates corporate e-mail, an internal corporate portal, a corporate directory service and corporate service of the joint communications (audio-and video conferences, chats and so forth). The functionality is executed by product-based Microsoft:

• Active Directory 2012,
• Exchange Server 2013,
• SharePoint 2013
• Lync 2013.

Project Results

The created corporate solution promotes solving of tasks, connected with management of the listed services. The control panel flexibly interacts with the system of the choice of services, supports integration with a prebilling system and the system of orders of the operator, management of users and so forth. Access to a panel is possible, both from desktop computers, and from mobile devices on Windows platforms, iOS and Android.

By means of the implemented technology the organization isolated work of different customers (tenants) in one installation of servers as though they use own infrastructures became possible. Besides, creation of a uniform control panel allowed to facilitate the procedure of setup and administration of service.

In the created version of Virtual office the procedure of initial setup of service considerably was reduced on time. At the same time the administrator of the customer has the full access to a control panel allowing it to operate with accounts of users, to control access to services, to make additional settings, to browse different statistics and so forth.

Virtual office is implemented on two territorially spaced platforms of Rostelecom, in the Moscow and Novosibirsk DPCs, thus disaster tolerance of service in general increases. Settings provide obligatory duplication of all customer information. All this ensures safety of data and guarantees uninterrupted access.
