2019: Activities of the Ministry of Economic Development, Investment, Tourism and External Relations of the Orenburg Region

On November 5, 2019, the head of the region signed a decree on the structure of executive bodies of state power of the Orenburg region in which he redistributed some duties of executive authorities between each other. The Ministry of Economic Development, within its competence, will be responsible for the development of tourism and external relations of the Orenburg region, the Ministry of Agriculture has included a block of industrial policy and trade^[1] of ^[1].

By decree of the Governor of the Orenburg Region of December 30, 2019 No. 651-uk "On the approval of the provision on the Ministry of Economic Development, investments, tourism and external relations of the Orenburg region^[2] were declared invalid by Decree of the Governor of the Orenburg Region dated May 8, 2009 No. 88-uk "On Approval of the Provision on the Ministry of Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of the Orenburg Region."

Within the framework of its competence, the Ministry carries out state administration in the field of economic development of the Orenburg region, establishes and develops interregional, international and foreign economic relations, ensures cross-border interaction, coordination of export support measures in the region and the development of non-resource exports, participates in the implementation of state policy in the field of tourism, and ensures, when exercising its powers, priority goals and objectives for the development of competition in commodity markets.

2009: Activities of the Ministry of Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of the Orenburg Region

On the basis of the Decree of the Governor of the Orenburg Region of May 8, 2009 No. 88-uk^[3], the] Ministry of Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of the Orenburg Region was an executive body of the Orenburg Region. Within the framework of its competence, the Ministry carried out the development and implementation of a regional state socio-economic policy aimed at ensuring stable economic growth, qualitative renewal of industrial and fuel and energy complexes, transport, improving the standard of living of the region's population, coordinated the activities of the regional executive authorities, and ensured that, when exercising its powers, the priority of goals and objectives for the development of competition in commodity markets.

One of the functions of the ministry was the implementation of state policy in the field of the consumer market (trade, retail markets, consumer cooperation, fair and exhibition activities, catering, consumer services, circulation of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, consumer protection, the use of cash registers, regional lotteries).
