2018: Upgrade of IT infrastructure

On September 11, 2018 the LWCOM company announced project completion on upgrade of IT infrastructure of trade and production holding "DEFO".

Development of holding, including increase in production areas, opening of showrooms, sales offices and support of logistics, required trouble-free operation of IT infrastructure. However in the previous form it could not provide due performance level, reliability and security any more. So, because of an outdated server framework risks of failure of its separate elements increased that could affect the continuity of business processes of the enterprise. A number of servers did not conform to requirements of modern versions of software, and the storage device subsystem functioned on a limit of the opportunities on performance.

The LWCOM company was engaged in accomplishment of these tasks. For plan development of upgrade of infrastructure audit within which information on use of resources and the actual load of the equipment is collected was booked.

On the basis of data retrieveds specialists of LWCOM created the strategy of development for IT infrastructure of holding which included: creation of a cluster of virtualization, migration on modern versions of software and implementation of the storage system conforming to all qualifying standards. The planning horizon of lifecycle accepts term in 5 years according to what the developed solution was counted with a necessary stock of performance and five-year service.

For confirmation of correctness of the offered strategy engineers of LWCOM unrolled demostend and executed stress testing on real ERP and CRM applications of the Customer as a result of whom corrections were made and the final solution is optimized. For upgrade of a server framework the set of the equipment which included servers Fujitsu RX2530 M4 DWH Netapp FAS2650, software of virtualization VMware vSphere, software of guest OS Windows Server Datacenter, SAN network based on switches Brocade 6505 was approved.

Specialists of LWCOM carry out works on an equipment commissioning, virtual infrastructure is unrolled, templates of virtual machines are prepared, domain infrastructure of Microsoft Active Directory and required infrastructure services is unrolled. As a result of the executed scope of work on upgrade of a server framework the Customer received the virtual infrastructure ready to placement of the existing and new applications.

Regarding works on upgrade of network infrastructure engineers of LWCOM booked audit of a data network, having designated the problem and insufficiently protected segments, including executed measurements of load characteristics. On the basis of the received results and requirements of the Customer to the equipment the plan of upgrade was developed, the following equipment is selected and implemented: a cluster from two firewalls Cisco ASA, switches of a core Cisco 4500X routers Cisco ISR 4300, the access switches Cisco 2960X.

The protected failsafe connection of resources of a local network to the Internet and also high-performance, scalable and failsafe core of network became result of the carried-out works on upgrade of network infrastructure. Specialists of LWCOM picked up the optimal solution meeting requirements of effective and safe work of corporate network.

2017: Upgrade of network infrastructure

On October 6, 2017 the LWCOM company announced project implementation on upgrade of network infrastructure of retail network of office furniture of "DEFO".
