5 dying professions in which technologies will replace people

At the beginning of the 20th century futurologists foretold that robots will force out the person from the majority of professional spheres. At first mechanisms will master professions where work goes on the looped algorithms, and with development of artificial intelligence will occupy also areas in which decisions are made based on collecting and the analysis of information arrays. Despite courageous forecasts and the growing rates of technology development, neither housewives, nor teachers, nor nurses, nor even translators and priarshchik digitalization so far without work did not leave.

It does not mean at all that the professional structure of society does not change. Futurologists were fond of imaginations towards robots assistants who were not so demanded in the short term. And technologies, meanwhile, were financed by large business, stimulated with his needs and for a corporate segment caught up with people on the level of professional demand.

TAdviser tried to understand what professions really are at the stage "extinctions" and will be completely replaced with technologies in the next years. Good news — that who develops technologies and services threatens nothing. Bad news — machines come from not the most low-paid professions and with such speed that for retraining people have not enough time.

So, we selected 5 areas in which the staff list will replace the list of tangible assets soon.

Driver of rail transport

Traffic control without participation of the person is provided by the system of automaintaining. Level of automation of the transport system is classified depending on at what stages intervention of the person is required. So, for example, the 4th class of management assumes connection of the person only in emergencies. For the first time the subway with partial automatic control was started in 1983 in France. The Dubai subway started in 2009 completely works without drivers. Instead of the cabins intended for drivers there are panoramic windows opening an amazing type for passengers of trains. In 2016 at the Munich airport trains without drivers also appeared. As of 2017 automatic systems of rail transport work worldwide.

Russia from drivers in trains so far only prepares for a total failure. In Moscow Metro the first trains equipped with automatic equipment were tested in 2015. Information systems of automaintaining are delivered by such developers as AVP Technology and Scientific Research Institute TM, the producer of the product Movement implemented in the St. Petersburg and Kazan subways. So far it is only the second level of automation assuming presence of the driver in the train for control of obstacles in a way.

Meanwhile, more than 4 thousand drivers of the Moscow subway are in relative professional security so far. In 2016 the head of city department of transport Maxim Liksutov said that trains without drivers are not suitable for the capital subway.

For primary candidate screen, preliminary communications or communication according to the results of a meeting chat-bots, robots and special programs are already used. So, in 2016 the Svyaznoy bank carried out search and preliminary filtering of candidates with a short interview through telegrams bot. But the decisive word remained nevertheless for the recruiter.

Everything changed since announced MTS start in exploitation of the Belief robot for automation of search of employees. The demand of service is undoubted, for only several months on the account of Belief — more than two thousand interviews on different positions. The main advantage of the robot — lack of "a human factor" — is valuable to those who consider subjective appraisal of the recruiter a noise.

By the most conservative estimates, in the closest five-seven years of every second manager on selection the robot will replace.

Employee of bank department

The concept of bank without office gradually gains steam. Banks which developed network of departments earlier stopped opening of new points, and some even close offices of service. Moreover, as of 2017 in Russia at once two banks which selected online model as the main, and not having departments in general – Rocketbank and Tinkoff successfully develop. The model of digital-bank assumes dynamic development of IT infrastructure and remote services. There are no charges of offices, there are no salaries to the employees, some continuous technologies. Clients in this model especially appreciate that communication with bank goes via channels convenient to it there are social networks, messengers, etc.

Synchronize work so that upon transition from one channel to another history and service rate was not lost, but at the same time to provide also the high level of protection — a serious technology problem. It was already learned to be solved therefore it is not necessary to expect "rollback" to model "where you made out the card", and it is time for staff of departments to think of retraining.

Several years ago for a design of an insurance or purchase of a complex tour it was necessary to arrive to office, long and tiresomely to communicate with the consultant, and then to make a choice and to start document creation. Today some companies still pay a tribute to traditions and contain sales points, others completely passed in online and only benefited from it.

So, the insurer INTOUCH is a pioneer of the market of direct services. Any product from a portfolio can be issued on the Internet. Earlier managers were carriers of unique examination and knowledge, could advise something, pick up the best option. Now even function of comparison IT systems as undertake, for example, the online aggregator of booking systems of hotels — Trivago.

Call center agent

The reasons for which service providers, banks and other businesses go to online nullify also demand of call centers. They either are gradually disbanded, or transformed to completely automatic systems with voice navigation. Telecom operators offer already today such set of cloud services which allows to implement completely call center for the company in the automatic mode and to configure algorithms of switching of users, without attracting the uniform operator.

Technologies, certainly, do not force out people, and change structure of a professional pyramid. In order that it was possible to orient timely in changes, the ASI develops the Atlas of New Professions project. Specializations of the future are separated by a conditional level of 2020 after which it makes sense to pay attention to such work as the trainer of creative statuses, the IT physician or the designer of airships. The general trend will remain — the more various skills and the high level of examination it is required, the robots and software keep further.
