Moscow Metro invests nearly 400 million rubles in the solution for processing of unstructured data

On February 6, 2018 Moscow Metro summed up the auction results on delivery of the hardware and software system (HSS) for processing of the unstructured data which are contained in information systems of the customer.[1]

Moscow Metro buys the solution for processing of unstructured data almost for 400 million rubles

Proposals on participation in an auction were submitted by two companies - STK Development and Inmaks Technologies. The request of the first was rejected because of mismatch to requirements of technical specifications. As a result the commission made the decision to sign the contract with Inmaks Tekhnologii at the price of 388 million rubles.

According to terms of reference, based on functioning of a HSS and data processing information for achievement of the following purposes should be aggregated:

  • Distribution of flows of passengers on the subway;
  • Operational informing passengers on changes in work of stations, subway lines;
  • Increase in income from transportations;
  • Optimization of route charts of passengers;
  • Increase in loyalty of passengers;
  • Obtaining summary statistical reporting of consumer requests of passengers.

From the contractor, in addition to directly delivery of program and hardware components, deployment and a commissioning of a HSS, its integration with IT infrastructure of the customer and further maintenance is required.

The HSS should be supplied by equipment sets in six directions of its appointment:

  • Single system of data storage;
  • Backup subsystem;
  • Subsystem of archiving of data;
  • Analytics subsystem;
  • Subsystem of statistical reporting;
  • Data transmission subsystem (including the storage area network).

The solution should support any types of sources and data sinks, including flat files, binary, slozhnostrukturirovanny and unstructured files, XML files, message queues and data buses, web services, mail services, Hadoop, LDAP, business applications, "cloud" applications, information and analytical systems and also the DBMS different types:

The hardware and software system should be delivered to the customer within 60 calendar days from the date of signing of the contract.

Separately from "iron" Moscow Metro at the end of 2017 ordered development of software for processing of Big Data from diverse sources.[2] by the Contractor of the project is Infokompas company, the cost of the contract is 252.2 million rubles.
