Career

Born February 24, 1977 in Lyubertsy (Moscow region).

In 1994-1997 he studied at the Moscow Energy Institute with a degree in radiophysics.

Vladislav Bakalchuk went into business in the late 1990s. At first I traded computers.

2002: Creating an ISP UTech

In 2002, at the age of 25, he created the Internet provider UTech (Universal Technologies LLC) - on a parity basis with Alexei Fadeev, his friend. The company worked in the Southern, Southeastern and Eastern districts of Moscow.

After studying at the radio engineering faculty of MPEI, Bakalchuk managed to work as a master in laying networks. At UTech, he was responsible for the technical part, said the interlocutor of The Bell, who later held negotiations with Fadeev related to UTech[1] of[2]. Fadeev agreed with officials to install equipment in residential buildings.

Five years after the start, UTech served about 15 thousand households. Revenue for 2006 amounted to almost 30 million rubles, profit - 1.2 million rubles. Under UTech, the UT Design web studio worked (Universal Technologies LLC was the owner of the copyright for the content of the studio's website). She also made online stores. For example, UT Design made sites for the workshop "Your Hat" of Vladislav's relative Elena Bakalchuk and the UShop computer equipment store of Bakalchuk's friend Vyacheslav Latysh. In the design of the first site Wildberries UT Design used an energetic purple color. It will become branded for the company.

2004: Launch with wife of Wildberries

Since 2004, together with his wife Tatyana Bakalchuk, he has been engaged in online retail, and is the co-founder of the Wildberries store.

2006: Launch of a second iFlat ISP

After the sale of UTech in 2007, Bakalchuk and Fadeev remained partners. In 2006, a year before the deal with NetByNet, they registered another joint LLC - Iflat. It launched in one of the districts of UTech, Kuzminki, a new Internet provider iFlat.

Bakalchuk worked as the general director of Iflat until 2011, and he transferred his 49% stake to Fadeev's wife in 2018, the company's revenue that year was 125 million rubles.

2007: $7.5 million UTech sale

Bakalchuk planned to continue to develop the UTech business, the entrepreneur told The Bell, and at that time one of Tatyana Bakalchuk's students in English. In 2005, he was offered to invest in a provider. But at the end of 2006, Fadeev found a generous buyer, says another interlocutor.

The deal with NetByNet, the fifth largest Moscow provider, whose largest shareholder at that time was Gazprombank, was closed in the fall of 2007. The then head of NetByNet Vadim Kurin (now managing partner of the Zoom Capital fund) told The Bell that UTech was valued at less than $10 million. Kommersant in an article about this deal wrote about $7.5 million.

Bakalchuk, according to Kurin, received his part in money (at the time of the transaction in 2007 he had 50%), Fadeev - in money and shares of NetByNet. According to several interlocutors of The Bell, familiar with the terms of the deal, Bakalchuk raised from $3 to $5 million.

Wildberries Development Director Vyacheslav Ivashchenko argued in 2020 that neither UTech's profit nor the money raised from the sale of a stake in the business was invested in Wildberries. The Internet provider, according to Ivashchenko, did not bring profit. SPARK data suggests otherwise. The net profit of Universal Technologies was 718 thousand rubles in 2005, 1.2 million in 2006, 5.4 million in 2007.

According to the Картотека.ру service for April 2018, Vladislav Bakalchuk is the general director and owner of Atoll, a company cooperating with Wildberry (engaged in online retail, storage, courier and transport delivery). According to Kartoteki, he also owns 49% of Iflat LLC, an Internet provider iFlat that provides services in Moscow and the Moscow region.

My lawyers and I filed a lawsuit with the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region, in which we described a sufficient number of grounds for invalidating transactions. In the process of drawing up a claim and studying the documents, it became finally clear that the completed transactions for the transfer to RVB LLC of the assets of Wildberry LLC constitute an invalid transaction. Is this appropriate? Is the company profitable? Of course not! I consider all these transactions illegal, made with a large number of violations of laws, "said Vladislav Bakalchuk, co-founder of the Wildberries marketplace.

Thus, reorganization cannot be carried out without the 100% consent of all participants.

As the co-founder of Wildberries noted, he intends to defend his rights as a member of Wildberry LLC in court, since all of Wildberry's key assets are alienated without his approval.

Earlier, Vladislav Bakalchuk filed a lawsuit in the Savelovsky court of Moscow against Tatyana Bakalchuk and RVB LLC demanding that the transaction on the transfer of the WILDBERRIES.RU domain be declared null and void.
