Rosneft substituted import software for oil production

In May, 2018 Rosneft reported that it performed in the company import substitution of the software for modeling of hydraulic fracturing of layer (GRP), having implemented the software of "RN-GRID" at the service enterprise "RN-GRP".

Oil production by GRP method gains steam in Russia and in the world. Rosneft reported, for example, that in 1 quarter 2018 in comparison with the same period of last year the number of the new entered horizontal wells with multistage hydraulic fracturing of layer (MGRP) at it increased more than by 65%.

However in 2014 prohibition on delivery of a number of technologies by it, including software for modeling of GRP became a part of sanctions of the USA and the EU concerning the Russian oil and gas companies.

Rosneft says that the RN-GRID simulator allows to describe precisely a complex geometry of the crack arising in breed when carrying out GRP and provides accomplishment of all transactions and engineering calculations necessary for hydraulic fracturing design. In particular: visualization of initial data, creation of geomechanical model of layer, the analysis of diagnostic downloadings, calculation of design and the analysis of actually performed operations GRP using the extensive database of process liquids and proppant.

Earlier in Rosneft noted that unification of design process of GRP due to application of "RN-GRID" creates conditions for formation of a common information space on all operations GRP with a possibility of the subsequent analysis and intellectual processing performed in the company using Big Data technologies.

Today on objects of Rosneft more than 1000 transactions GRP with a full stroke of design in the RN-GRID simulator are executed, - reported in Rosneft in May. - All operations are performed successfully and without complications. The analysis of parameters of the performed works and indicators of production of wells after GRP confirmed high reliability of results of design in "RN-GRID".
