2018: Announcement

The Tomsk company Rubius in July, 2018 submitted the joint project with Tsifra company: a virtual assistant for repair and service of CNC machines. Together with Rubius Project Manager, Rubius 4D, Rubius Electric Suite and Rubius DrEAM the AR-application became one more product in a line of solutions of Rubius allowing to plan, to manage and control maintenance and repairs of the equipment. For partners from Tsifra the application added a line of the solutions "Digital Plant".

Rubius AR-application for HoloLens in real time imposes a 3D model of the CNC machine on its working model

The virtual assistant represents AR a-application for points augmented reality Microsoft HoloLens which in real time imposes a 3D model of the CNC machine on its working model and displays everything that is hidden under its body: from specific parts to internal processes. It allows to carry out quickly maintenance of the machine, without involving third-party specialists.

Also the AR-application of Rubius allows to train operators in work with new machines, undergoes with it all workflow, clearly demonstrates all sequence of necessary actions. For example, what to make to check oil level in a tank for lubricant or to learn pressure of working fluid, – the technical director of Rubius Anton Kudinov told. — Visualization helps to get rid of need to carry with itself multipage instructions, accelerates carrying out repairs and obsluzhivaniye of the machine. And it, in turn, reduces losses from idle times of the expensive equipment.

In the long term the AR-application of Rubius is going to be integrated with a monitoring system of machines it could bring parameters of their work directly to Microsoft HoloLens glasses.

According to the statement of Rubius, the application can already be used for work not only with machines, but also for other, more difficult plants.
