Greyn Holding consolidated all infrastructure within a single cloud platform

On February 26, 2019 the Croc company reported that Greyn Holding consolidated all infrastructure within a single cloud platform. At least 40 systems are transferred to a cloud of CROC: from infrastructure services to applied applications which provide uninterrupted processing of 1700 tons of grain daily, production of 250 t of bakery products in day and the timely product delivery to 11 million consumers.

According to the company earlier on each object of holding — 4 bread-baking complexes and a mill — not only the separate server, but also not integrated with each other business services were used. In particular, own systems of calculation of routes of transport worked at all platforms. It led to growth of overheads, reduced transparency of the financial and management reporting, increased the speed of shipment of products and its delivery. The management managed to bring order Greyn Holdinga after review of all key processes and consolidation of resources based on a cloud which was selected as economically justified model of work with IT.

We considered how many we should construct own data center, and understood that the cloud — the solution which gives us the necessary flexibility allows to reduce costs for infrastructure and provides reliability of production. Transfer of infrastructure and IT systems was preceded by the audit which included consultations on the choice of architectural concepts. Later there was a preparatory stage — a two-month cycle of functional and stress testing. It allowed to exclude possible problems during migration and further work of IT infrastructure in a cloud. All key IT systems Greyn Holdinga earned based on a cloud of CROC within one week-end after start of works.

The history Greyn Holdinga is an example of professional approach to review of the business development strategy where the IT is paid close attention.
