Biography

Potapov Vladimir Mikhailovich was born on October 27, 1982 in Moscow.

He graduated with honors from the Higher School of Economics and the People's University of China in Beijing, received an MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business with Honors.

For March 2019 - Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and certified coach of the International Institute of Neuroleadership Institute.

Has certificates FSFM 1.0 and 5.0.

Over seven years he worked in the Troika Dialog Group of Companies as a partner and leading portfolio manager. There he participated in the active development and withdrawal of the asset management business to leading positions in the Russian market.

He joined the VTB Capital Investment Management team in July 2010 as the global head of the portfolio investment business.

Since 2013, he headed VTB Capital Investment Management, was responsible for the strategic and operational development of business companies. Since 2013, he also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VTB Capital Asset Management.

On February 1, 2018, the press service of VTB Group announced his appointment as head of the brokerage services department - senior vice president of VTB Bank and chief executive officer of the combined business created in the structure of the global Corporate Investment Business line - VTB Capital Investments.

TAdviser interview

TAdviser, together with VTB Bank, with the participation of Skolkovo, conducted a study in August-September 2019 on the prospects for using APIs in the banking sector. A survey of 25 banks from the top 100 on the Russian market showed that the main players associate great development prospects with technology. 75% of respondents announced their intention to use the Open API to implement projects in the future. Takes an active part in the development of the Russian financial market and the business community: for March 2019, is a member of the largest global association of business leaders Young President's Organization (YPO), Member of the Board of the Moscow Exchange and Chairman of the Committee on the Collective Investment Market of the Exchange, serves on the Boards of Directors of the Association of Professional Investors (API) and NAUFOR, on the board of the CFA Association (Russia) and on the Committee on Large Companies with State Participation and Development Institutions of the Expert Advisory Council under the Federal Agency for State Property Management.^[1]
