Bixby Marketplace

2019: Start of service

At the beginning of July, 2019 Samsung started app store for the voice assistant to Bixby. On the Bixby Marketplace portal special additions — the so-called capsules (as "skills" at Amazon Alexa or Alice of "Yandex") expanding possibilities of service in third-party programs are provided.

It is possible to be included in the new directory from the homepage of Bixby. After clicking of the Bixby button it is necessary to run a finger to the left to see the list of capsules on categories as Productivity, "Business and finance", Sport, Shopping, etc.

Search in the name of the capsule, name of the developer or key word allows to find the necessary applications. On the basis of recommendations and the user feedback a system selects capsules which are considered as especially useful. The system of formation of rating of applications which are estimated by users is provided in a system.

It is possible to set additions as the preferable capsule for certain types of requests. For example, if the user gives the "Bring Me to the Airport of San Francisco" command, Bixby will suggest to select one of the supported Rideshare capsules. And thanks to addition of Ahex Jokes it is possible to ask the assistant to read a horoscope, Galaxy Store — to execute search in applications in Samsung brand store.

As note in Samsung, Bixby Marketplace offers quick access to the wide range of capsules that allows to adapt easily Bixby according to needs of the user. The platform offers different services, such as Google Maps, Spotify, iHeartRadio, NPR, Yelp and other. The number of applications will extend.

In more detail the South Korean producer is going to tell about Bixby Marketplace on an action of Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19) which will take place on October 29-30 in San Jose, California.^[1]

At first Bixby Marketplace is started in the USA and South Korea.
