2020: Appointment of X5 Retail Group as the Chief information officer

On February 4, 2020 it became known of Anton Valkov's appointment the new CIO of X5 Retail Group. This information to Vedomosti was told by the person close to company management, and the representative of retailer and Valkov confirmed it.

The representative of Yandex.Market company in which before Valkov worked as the operating officer also confirmed departure of the top manager and told the newspaper, than he was engaged before dismissal:

Anton's team built base for a marketplace of Beru – network of warehouses and the centers of order processing, also in his subordination there was a service of customer care.

After Anton Valkov's leaving Yandex.Market began to look for to it replacement. By February 4, 2020 its duties are divided by the logistics director Pavel Yaroshevsky and the director of service of customer care Elizabeth Rybinskaya.

To Yandex.Market Valkov developed the direction of the analysis of Big Data in logistics and was responsible for implementation of fast delivery of orders in the American retailer Walmart.

In X5 Retail Group explained to the edition that according to the development strategy information technologies should become the driver of growth of business of the company. The Valkov who noted that the retailer in fact decided to become more technology company, than retail also told about it.

Before X5 began digital transformation of business and began to put in this direction more than 10% capital expenses. The chief executive officer of the retailer Igor Shekhterman  said that to the companies she intends to compete both with online stores, and with the fudtekh-companies, like " Yandex.food ", and with delivery services.

Before Fabricio Granja was the Chief information officer of X5, after his leaving Alla Antonova became the acting. It will continue  team working of Valkov who will also be included into board of X5.^[1]
