2019: Implementation of the digital platform for studying of English

On September 23, 2019 it became known that Prosveshcheniye Group and Skyeng company implement model of a digital medium in the main educational program. Within the agreement on cooperation partners created the digital educational and methodical complex (EMC) for studying of English in an interactive mode — Skyeng Education System (Skyes).

Skyes is UMK for the 5-11th classes developed based on a technology platform of Skyeng company and educational content of Education. Tasks are specially adapted for the platform. Thus, educational content is available in a digital format, supplementing usual manuals, and can be used as during lessons, and at home at accomplishment of homeworks.

At the heart of Skyes — technology of adaptive training, i.e. a system adapts to needs of each user. Teachers in a personal account will be able to analyze results of progress of pupils and to implement author's content, the director of schools — in real time to obtain information on progress and load of teachers and to plan work of collective, parents — to monitor progress of children. The interest of pupils is maintained at the expense of interactive tasks: video, audio, infographics.

Also the author's Skyeng tasks for preparation for the USE, OGE, VPR, diagnostics of NIKO, PISA, to the international testing of a GMAT are integrated into a system. All materials placed on the platform are approved by methodologists of Education.

As of September, 2019 the platform is available in all territory of Russia; requirements of the law on personal data are observed. Pupils will be able to be engaged using Skyes not only at school, but also at home, including from the mobile phone. Thus, it can be used also for family education. Besides, the platform will make quality education more available to children with limited opportunities and those who study remotely, for example, in small rural schools.

The project started in regions since the beginning of September, 2019. The digital Skyes platform is used in 46 regions of Russia. Agreements on cooperation and application of Skyes at schools are signed with the authorities of five regions: Novgorod, Lipetsk, Tyumen regions, Perm Krai and Udmurt Republic. As of September, 2019 for work and training of Skyes already use 156 schools, 180 teachers and 7670 pupils. Teachers note that thanks to automatic check of homeworks they save up to 8 working hours a week on the Skyes platform.

In the long term the platform will extend both in terms of content, and in terms of functionality. On it there will be materials for studying of new objects, including other languages among which and national languages of Russia. Also Skyes can be applied to intersubject training, development of metasubject skills and digital competences of teachers and students, complex approbation of the new educational and methodical materials "Educations".^[1]
