For October, 2019 act as the main objectives of the Central directorate of infrastructure (according to Regulations on TsDI):

• management of a technology complex of infrastructure of railway transport of the general use, including ensuring its technical readiness by turns for transportation of goods and passengers;
• prevention on infrastructure of technically faulty rolling stock, the machines and mechanisms which are potentially creating risks of damnification to infrastructure facilities and non-executions of the train schedule;
• security of train service, labor protection, fire and environmental safety;
• optimization and development of the production capacities and labor resources.
