Robbo Class is a solution for educational institutions, which includes a set of equipment, software and methodological materials for teaching children various technologies.
The Robbo Class equipment includes a 3D prototyping center, a children's 3D printer, a digital laboratory, as well as a base for manufacturing a robot.
Thanks to working with Robbo Protos, a 3D prototyping center, a child can carry out laser engraving and milling of created products.
On the 3D printer "Robbo Mini" it is possible to print out any products up to 170x100x100 mm in size: souvenirs, trinkets, devices, crafts. Thus, a children's 3D printer allows you to not limit yourself to the "finished" cases and parts of robots from the magazine, but to manufacture them yourself, and in any shape and configuration.
Robbo Lab is a device that allows you to collect environmental data from various sensors and process the received information in a program on a computer. That is, a special microelectronic board, by connecting it to a computer, the child gets access to external sensors and control devices.
The base for manufacturing the robot, Roboplatform, is the base from which the robot is subsequently obtained. The body, parts and other components of the robot are attached to it.
Designed "Robbo class" to organize lessons "Technology," providing training in robotics, programming, circuitry, 3D prototyping and 3D printing. In addition, the Robbo Class allows you to study other subjects - physics, chemistry, computer science, natural science, ecology and biology. Thanks to the class, children can engage in the experiments and projects that the mastery of these disciplines involves. For example, to investigate the effect of friction on the speed of the robot and monitor the environment by measuring the temperature and humidity of the air.
2021
Delivery to schools in Russia and abroad
In 2021, engineering classes appeared in more than 170 schools in Russia, Belarus and Japan. This is almost three times more than in 2020. In total, using the equipment and educational materials of ROBBO, more than 470 municipal and private schools will now be able to study. In Belarus, 150 ROBBO Classes were purchased. This was reported by ROBBO on April 11, 2022.
The engineering classes of ROBBO are designed to organize technology lessons in schools, as well as conduct experiments and implement practical projects in other disciplines. Each of them includes hardware of its own production "ROBBO," including robotic designers and 3D prototyping equipment, software and teaching materials. ROBBO programs are developed according to international STEM education standards and are easily adapted to the specifics of any regional educational system.
The local partner was the company "Training and Innovation," which won the competition of the Ministry of Education of Belarus for the supply of equipment for STEM classes. Educational materials were adapted to the specifics of the regional market together with the National Technical University of Belarus.
We see a rapidly growing interest from foreign educational institutions in our products. Especially in regions where there is a shortage of qualified IT specialists. So, according to analysts, in the last year about 80% of Belarusian IT companies faced a personnel famine. At the same time, it was the IT sector that for many years remained the key driver of the growth of the country's economy. Therefore, in Belarus, products and programs are in demand that will strengthen the personnel reserve of IT specialists, shared the founder and producer of "ROBBO " Pavel Frolov.

The supply of "ROBBO Classes" allows equal access to advanced technological education for children from different regions of the country. With updated equipment, they will be able to master the sought-after professions of the future, such as a robotic engineer and an innovative entrepreneur, and prepare for various competitions of technical creativity, shared by Sergey Balbutsky, General Director of Learning and Innovation LLC.

Compatibility with Rosa Chrome version 12
and STC IT Rosa the company ROBBO"," a manufacturer robotic EdTech of kits, signed a partnership agreement, under which they plan to equip the Russian schools and technical circles formations with additional engineering innovative ROBBO Classes operating systems based on ROSA around the world. This was announced on November 25, 2021 by Rosa.
Companies are going to implement a product stack in the formation system, within the framework of which they ensured the full compatibility of ROSA operating systems with the ROBBO Class product line based on open source software.
"ROBBO Class" products are compatible with ROSA CHROM 12 operating systems . ROSA CHROM 12 is designed to equip users' workplaces. The distribution is based on an independent code base that has been assembled in a full ABF loop environment. Includes "out of the box" a complete set of applications that allows you to start working immediately after installation: mail client, browser, office package, quick messaging client and much more.
The stack of products "ROBBO Klass" and STC IT ROSA is already being tested as part of a project to test the launch model of circles of the National Technology Initiative in schools in St. Petersburg according to the concept of "ROBBO Club" - a network of schools of additional education in robotics, programming and 3D printing for children from 5 to 15 years old. In the future, equipment with a pre-installed ROSA operating system will be supplied to schools for computer science and technology classes as part of training and out-of-hours activities.
The process of transition of Russian schools to domestic software has been going on for several years, but recently it has received significant development. The replacement of foreign software with domestic software is provided for by a decree of the Government of Russia, and, as practice shows, the share of computer systems using open software in schools continues to grow. Our joint decision with ROBBO will create a modern technological base for the training of future qualified specialists in the field of robotics, making a worthy competition to foreign counterparts. We are pleased to cooperate with our partner ROBBO in the framework of a federal project and hope to implement a large number of joint projects to provide Russian schools with design solutions with pre-installed domestic operating systems, "said Oleg Karpitsky, general director of IT ROSA STC. |
There is a noticeable tendency for schools to abandon proprietary software. More and more educational institutions are choosing free software and hardware. At the same time, relevant departments begin to limit the use of foreign software in the education system. Therefore, we chose a partner who would offer an operating system based on ACT, with support in Russia. In addition, it was important for us that the distribution be clear, easy to master and friendly to inexperienced users. After all, our products are intended for children's audiences. The ROSA operating system fully met these requirements, "said Pavel Frolov, founder and producer of ROBBO. |
