GIS "Operator" is intended for power structures.

2025: Version 15.3.6 for Astra Linux Special Edition

On April 4, 2025, the Panorama Design Bureau announced the development of the Operator GIS version 15.3.6 for the Astra Linux Special Edition OS. This version has expanded the functionality of modes as part of the tasks of the map editor and map calculations. Added capabilities to the tasks of working with lists of objects and viewing attributes from the database, the mode of importing coordinates from a text file is implemented.

Version 15.3.6

According to the company, the "Length and Distance" mode has been improved in the "Map Editor" task. The display of the distance of nodal points from the beginning of the measured route has been added. Added the ability to save measurements to the map for subsequent printing. The current map is changed in the dialog box of the Map Editor parameters without interrupting the measurement process. The Create Arbitrary Radius Circle mode has been improved. By selecting the creation mode in the reference panel, pop-up menu, or hotkey, you can create a three-point arc (sector), create an ellipse with specified radius lengths, and create a circle or ellipse with a center or left reference.

Added ability to set values in radians when creating new objects by entering coordinates of geometry points with keyboards. In the Rip and Stitch panel, the Create Polygon by Boundary of Surrounding Paths mode has been updated. Creates a multipolygon defined by the boundaries of adjacent polygon loops and closed linear objects within a specified closed loop or selected object. If you press Ctrl and press the left button mice over some area or closed linear object, the multipolygon is based on the base path for which the specified point is internal. If the specified point is within multiple contours, all such contours will intersect. Konturs for which the point is outside will trim the intersections from the base path to create a path around the point based on the adjacent boundaries.

Version 15.3.6

If you press Ctrl and click over an empty area, the base path is a rectangular path 3/4 of the current map window centered at the selected point. If more than one blank portion of the map falls within the specified area, only one object is created that spans the selected point. The Length and Distance mode adds the display of distance values from the start of the object and the ability to save measurements to the map as objects.

The Object Lists dialog has added merge and intersection modes for the selection criteria. These modes allow you to create a result list from selected lists by adding selection conditions by localization, layer, class, and object. When you merge lists, the new list contains all the objects of the selected lists, and when you intersect, only the shared ones. List tools allow you to sequentially search for list objects in a map and various overlay operations between lists, display lists in specified symbols, dynamically sign selected characteristics of objects on the map, copy to other maps and other operations.

The program has improved the task "View attributes from the database," called by the button in the main panel. Added the ability to multiple insert data into table cells. Added the mode of setting up and displaying subordinate tables (an additional button in the main panel of the task). The configured reporting rules are treated as a data source and opened in a standard way as a tab from the corresponding drop-down list of the main task window. When you select a row in the main table, the rows in the subtable are automatically filtered by the specified rules. The ability to confirm/cancel changes has been added. Added status line with information about the number of lines.

Version 15.3.6

The Open Data Set dialog is divided into "tables" and "query" tabs with support for additional connections. The updated tools allow you to logically associate hierarchically related attribute tables (object passports and other data) with any maps and complement the means of interactive editing of spatial databases in the form of vector maps through editing the coordinates and semantics of objects displaying table fields.

Use the Load Coordinates From Text File mode to import data from geodetic tools from delimited text files (TXT, CSV, XYH, and more). Each line of the file corresponds to one spatial object, for example, a station point with coordinates (X, Y, H). The result of the program is the creation of a map in SIT or SITX format. The dialog displays the source data (file path and contents) and the settings for import. The user can specify the start line of processing, select a separator, specify the offset by coordinates (X, Y, H) and adjust the composition of the imported data, defining data types for each column (for example, X, Y, H or semantics).

The task "Map calculations" has been finalized. When you create zones around objects, multipolygons, multilines, and multipoint objects are automatically processed to form common zones around portions of objects. Linear objects with a longitude greater than two zones (12 degrees) are divided into sections within two zones. For each the area is drawn on an ellipsoid with subsequent cross-linking into a common contour, which ensures accurate calculation of the boundaries of the area. A more accurate zone construction algorithm is used if the Specify Area and Length option is enabled on the Options menu.

Version 15.3.6

The Find Point on Object Path task has been added to allow you to process linear and area objects. After you select an object in the dialog box, you must specify the distance to search for. As a result of the operation of the mode, a section from the beginning of the object to the found point is highlighted on the map, which allows you to visually determine the location of the desired point.
