2020: Business One SAP implementation

The Alexander scientific and production enterprise constructed transparent Business Process Management Suite based on SAP Business One. On September 11, 2020 SAP CIS reported about it. Thanks to implementation of this system the term of approval and decision making was reduced from two months to one-two days. There was an opportunity to conduct central planning of production. In a system for September, 2020 about 80 people work. The Nicotech LLC company acted as the partner in implementation.

NPP Alexander made the decision on start of digital transformation in connection with rapid growth of business that led to increase in number of clients and products. As a result the company constantly managed processes in force majeure mode. There was a task to integrate all production and logistic processes in one system, to simplify document flow, to accelerate reconciliation procedure and in general to make production management more flexible to market changes. In a circuit of SAP Business One management of warehouses, accounting of storage locations, accounting of products, inventory, management of internal logistics, lot-based accounting and marking of products is implemented. It helped to reduce labor costs by maintaining warehouse transactions significantly.

The project on transition to a single system of SAP Business One integrated in one information space three distributed platforms in Moscow, Bryansk and Ryazan, having allowed to make planning process and process managements centralized. So, earlier collecting and the analysis of reports on platforms took several days, after implementation all data are stored in one system that allows to analyze them online. Besides, the quality and relevance of information, in particular on the current production supplies increased, and according to the results of the analysis of process of purchases the solution which will help to cut down transportation costs several times was found.

Setup of a system of approval via messengers became one of features of the project. Employees enter documents to SAP Business One, and further a system automatically sends them for approval in the messenger. Also in a warehouse shipping documentations (data collection terminal) - scanners thanks to what goods acceptance is performed very quickly, actually in three click, and shipment – in two are used. The company also started the procedure of tracking of production orders using data collection terminals.

SAP Business One allows to leave from the conservative scheme of manual control to uniform, clear and transparent, the automated control system for the enterprise. And what is important, in rather short terms. Thanks to implementation of this solution NPP Alexander could pass quickly to the next stage of development, increasing sales volume without risk of failures in production process, – Vyacheslav Semyonov, the chief executive of NPP Alexander noted.
