Possibility of additional enrichment of Utrace Analytics with missing information from IE "MDLP"

The developer of the cloud analytical system Utrace Analytics will provide pharmaceutical companies with the opportunity to integrate with the data of contract industries transferred to the IS "MDLP." This will allow large manufacturers using the national labeling system as the main source of data to receive faster reporting on balances, disposals, movement and average prices for drugs produced by counterparties. Utrace (Utrace) announced this on August 27, 2024.

Utrace Analytics is an analytical solution for pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers that helps businesses online track the distribution of drugs along the logistics chain, receive data on final sales through various channels, analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and more precisely plan shipments. Pharmaceutical companies use the platform as a reliable source of data from the state system for monitoring the movement of drugs (IS "MDLP").

Earlier, information on sales of medicines in certain market segments was practically closed. Large pharmaceutical companies with contract production did not have direct access to reporting on the movement of goods issued by counterparties. This made it difficult to analyze marketing and forecast demand for medical drugs that are critical to the population. All the necessary reports had to be requested from counterparties and processed manually.

To solve this problem, the MDLP IC implemented a delegation mechanism. Now contract production can put an option in the personal account of the IS "MDLP" to delegate data on the necessary drugs to the TIN of the marketing authorization holder. The data will be checked through the Unified Structured Reference Book of Medicines and validated, Ministry of Health Russia after which they will become available in the head company's personal account. Thus, a large pharmaceutical manufacturer will be able to collect all the reporting necessary for analytics independently without involving contract manufacturers.

As of August 2024, the delegation mechanism has not been fully launched. In response to this task, Utrace launched a service to further enrich Utrace Analytics with the missing information from the IS "MDLP." Two data enrichment options are available to users - transferring data downloads to support Utrace employees, as well as custom refinement of the solution for automatic integration with the contract manufacturer's IT system. The task of further enrichment can be solved within a period of three weeks.

The market is gradually moving to full traceability of the movement of drugs, which in the future will help the pharmaceutical business to receive more accurate analytical reports on the sale of products and use them to extract insights. However, for full-fledged analytics, manufacturers need information throughout the portfolio of drugs, including production at contract sites. The current implementation of IS MDLP does not yet give such an opportunity. We understand the needs of the business and are ready to support pharmaceutical companies in matters related to reporting management. Our expertise will allow you to deploy an individual data enrichment solution in just a few weeks and provide access to previously inaccessible information, "said Ivan Kudryashov, leading analyst at Utrace.

Adding Data from MDLP IS

Utrace has updated the Utrace Analytics cloud platform. The developer announced this on June 10, 2024. The system was expanded with new data available from the information system for monitoring the movement of drugs (IS "MDLP"), and a number of functional improvements were made to it. As a result, the accuracy of information on drug shipments increased to 97-99%. The speed of obtaining data on balances, disposals and movement of drugs has also increased.

The developer of IS "MDLP" constantly complements his system with new types of data. The corresponding changes immediately appear in Utrace Analytics. We include new types of information in the reporting available in our product so that our customers can use Utrace Analytics not only to obtain information from the state monitoring system, but also for high-quality analytics and search for insights that contribute to the growth of their business, "said Roman Yesenin, Development Manager Utrace Analytics, Utrace.

As a result of the Utrace Analytics update, a new field "source of funding" has appeared in the product, which helps companies understand through which channel the purchase of pharmaceuticals took place - from the federal, regional budgets or at their own expense. This will determine which percentage of sales goes through the state channel and which - directly through pharmacies.

Another important update is to reduce the time lag when receiving data. Previously, pharmaceutical manufacturers took about a week to collect reports on the disposal of drugs. As of June 2024, the period for updating data directly from Utrace Analytics has been reduced to two days. The added opportunity will allow customers to quickly track sales indicators and, if necessary, make adjustments to the commercial plan.

Utrace Analytics also increased the completeness of obtaining data from the IS "MDLP" on the main reports - balances, disposals and movement of drugs. Previously, pharmaceutical manufacturers were forced to buy similar reports from distributors, pharmacy chains, as well as analytical agencies engaged in market research. Now all this data can be obtained from Utrace Analytics on a single window basis.

The analytical platform also improved the functionality of "custom mappings," which allows you to collect data on sales by depth sections. For example, by sales endpoints within one pharmacy chain, by distributors, sales territory, pharmacy category, prices, names, brands, etc. By comparing in detail the indicators for each parameter, the pharmaceutical manufacturer will be able to more accurately determine the degree of implementation of the sales plan, as well as plan the percentage of payments of bonuses to employees and partners.

2023: ClickHouse Storage Support and Database Communication Architecture Change

On February 2, 2023, the Utrace serialization solutions company goods announced that it had updated cloudy the Utrace Analytics platform designed to work with. The data markings platform introduced support for the system, as storages ClickHouse well as a redesign. communications databases In addition, there have been changes visualization in the interface and reporting areas.

Utrace Analytics allows you to track the movement of goods throughout the supply chain, receive and analyze data on final sales, the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and plan the production and delivery of products. The data sources for Utrace Analytics are level L4 systems, the state system for monitoring the movement of drugs (IS MDLP), the state information system for marking goods (GIS MT), as well as corporate information systems.

The key update to Utrace Analytics is support for ClickHouse - analytical DBMS which allows you to quickly work with large volumes. information The transition to ClickHouse makes it possible to significantly speed up work with data from systems. " Honest Sign Historical product data for several years can now be processed in a matter of hours, and the update dashboards takes no more than 10 seconds.

In addition to the system storages , Utrace Analytics has updated the internal architecture related to drivers communications databases. These are programs that combine various elements of the platform and help build interaction between them. Thanks to their modernization, it was possible to speed up the exchange of information between different parts IT of the solution.

The release of the updated version of the IS MDLP also made it possible to implement incremental and customizable data upload to sFTP. This functionality is necessary for the ability to transfer large amounts of data to external consumer systems.

Another group of changes touched the "client" part of Utrace Analytics. So, standard platform dashboards were unified. The basic subscription now includes more than 100 pre-configured dashboards. Among them are reports on the disposal of medicines by market, on the movement of inventories or on participants in the turnover of medicines, etc. Dashboards use both non-aggregated data and grouped data. This variety allows you to close most of the manufacturer's analytics needs. If necessary, additional dashboards can be implemented that take into account the needs of an individual company.

Significant changes also affected data visualization: the Apache Superset visualization tool has been updated to the latest release. Multilingualism has appeared and the mechanisms for customizing analytical panels "for yourself" have been simplified - now you can customize the order of columns, quickly switch the type of chart displayed, or combine several diagrams into a single container. This functionality gives users the ability to quickly customize the display for the desired request, for example, you can quickly view the dynamics of prices or compare sales of different groups of goods.

The updated functionality of Utrace Analytics is aimed primarily at improving platform performance and improving the customer experience of users. The company wanted to simplify the data process as much as possible so that data-driven decisions could be made literally on the fly. Thanks to the Utrace Analytics upgrade, manufacturers of all product groups can quickly receive insights from the Honest Sign systems and use them for business development.

2020: Utrace Analytics Platform Introduction

Utrace has launched its solution for pharmaceutical manufacturers on the Russian market - the Utrace Analytics cloud analytical platform. This was announced on October 12, 2020 by Navicon (Navicon). The solution collects data from three sources: L4 systems, IS MDLP and various corporate business applications. Using the platform, manufacturers can online track the distribution of goods throughout the supply chain and receive data on final sales, analyze the commercial effectiveness of marketing campaigns and more accurately plan production and supply processes.

On July 1, 2020, mandatory labeling of drugs began, which, according to previously announced statements by the regulator, meant the opportunity for all manufacturers connected to the IS of the MDLP to start accessing data on the movement of their own goods along the entire chain (a route to market). To work effectively with such a source of detailed information, pharmaceutical manufacturers need a fast and powerful system that supports combination and enrichment with a lot of internal business data. In order for the manufacturer to use all the opportunities of a transparent market, Utrace has developed a special IT solution - the Utrace Analytics cloud platform.

From an architectural point of view, the system is both a transactional business application and a data store. The first is necessary for interaction with the MDLP IC, and the second is used for converting and storing large amounts of data. Utrace Analytics collects information at three levels. The first is master data from the L4 system, as well as the initial movement of products within the manufacturer: which batches were produced, where they are stored and to whom they were originally shipped. The second is information from the IS MDLP, which helps to calculate the movement of products in the product circuit, from the manufacturer to the distributor and further to pharmacies and the buyer. The third level is data from business applications: on holding promotions, increasing runoff, changing price agreements with distributors and other information that can affect demand dynamics. Depending on the insights that the user needs, he can choose which internal data to combine with the information from the MDLP.

Utrace Analytics allows analysts of pharmaceutical companies to visualize all links of the supply chain of each drug product online, as well as to automatically detect the appearance of defects, the risk of out-of-stock, over-stock, receive a summary of actual demand in pharmacies and LPUs, analyze brand strength (network distribution capacity and distribution index). In addition, thanks to the information obtained using the system, the pharmaceutical company can more flexibly and accurately plan production and supplies, increase turnover in its own and partner warehouses.

The IT solution also helps to increase the commercial efficiency of the manufacturer. Analysts can monitor in real time the commercial effectiveness of marketing campaigns at the retail segment level, analyze the implementation of volume agreements by distributors, upsale local and promotions, and obtain information on final sales.

Data from the IS MDLP allow the pharmaceutical manufacturer to quickly find out what is happening on the market with its product, which is important both in the commercial and hospital segments. Before the start of labeling, it was impossible to imagine this, because information from distributors did not always arrive on time, and there was no data from the LPU at all. The first task of our solution is to help the pharmaceutical company combine information from the IS MDLP with internal data so that at a short distance it can learn to benefit from detailed information and set up an automatic trigger model for working with deviations. The second is to provide more complex insults, advisory services that the company could use to influence the elements of the supply chain, as a result, increasing the level of sales, - comments Evgeny Rodnyansky, Operating Director of Utrace.
