2020: Creation of the cloud card of augmented reality
In Russia and Belarus creation of the large-scale cloud card of augmented reality began. The Augmented.city company reported about it on November 19, 2020. The special technology which allows to define a location is for this purpose used and to distinguish digital objects with a high accuracy. Russia was among the first countries around the world where this technology became available.
The Italian startup of Augmented.City is engaged in development of technology. In Belarus the HostFly.by hosting provider acts as his technical partner.
In augmented reality it will be possible to place any quantity of objects, including the animated figures and digital texts. In a digital layer which is imposed on surrounding space it is possible to set tags, information markers, restaurants will be able to hang out and update the menu, and hotels and parking - number of available rooms and places.
Authors of the project note that options of use of augmented reality - much. It is possible even to create special bulletin boards which will be visible only in the digital world. Creators of technology note that on their basis media and social networks without censorship can appear.
It is possible to see objects of augmented reality for November, 2020 so far using smartphones. But with the advent of augmented rReality glasses from Apple will begin to consider digital objects simpler and more comfortable. Project development of Augmented.City is conducted in cooperation with Apple and Google and taking into account plans of issuers of wearable devices.
Everyone will be able to plot virtual objects soon. Developers already test three tools for creation of augmented reality in any corner of Russia and other countries at once. The first tool — the scanner of the real world. That digital objects appeared precisely in the right place, it will be required to digitize reality. During this process several thousands of photos which then are processed on cloud servers are created. On the basis of a photo the digital copy of an object is created, how the person remembers the area using visions.
In the project we solved a problem which allows AR to step further wearable devices. The exact binding to the area is very important for AR. To show the virtual sign on shop, it is necessary to tie precisely it to coordinates on location. After that it is possible to attach a digital marker to an object — it can be an icon, the declaration or the animated model. Thanks to this technology, the tag will be read out with a surprising accuracy - to several centimeters. Developers refused navigation on satellites because of a big error and unavailability in premises. The program learns provision on the card almost like the person - being verified with the saved images.
The HostFly.by project manager Alexander Hmyl noted that emergence of such projects will allow Russians and Belarusians to use among the first large technical innovations.
We should not wait for several years when there are high-quality cards of augmented reality to estimate possibilities of new devices. Software tools which are offered by developers from Augmented.City allow to create a digital layer, to supplement information on the existing environment, - he told. |
