2025: Appointment as head of Denis Roshchin

Igor Kagramanyan - the new head of the health department of the Government of the Russian Federation

Mishustin approved the creation of a health department in the government

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with new decrees determined the maximum number of civil servants and the wage fund for their work, and also approved changes in the structure of the government apparatus, in which seven new departments will appear. This was announced on January 12, 2021 by the press service of the Cabinet.

New departments in the structure of the government apparatus were:

• Department of Health;
• Department of Industry;
• Department of Regional Development;
• Department of Social Development;
• Construction Department;
• Department of Transportation;
• Department of Energy.

At the same time, the Department of Health and Social Development, the Department of Industry, power and Transport, as well as the Department of Regional Development and Infrastructure are abolished.

In addition, by a new order of the government, the department of support for legislative activities is being transformed into the department of support for legislative activities and legal regulation. A consolidated analytical department of the government is also being created.

By January 13, 2021, the functions and tasks of the health department are not indicated, and it is also not reported who will head the new department. The Director of the Department of Health and Social Development is Sergey Velmyakin.

The decision on transformations was made to improve the work of the government apparatus and organize effective control over the implementation of decisions made by President Vladimir Putin, the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.

The government also believes that the reform will help improve the efficiency and quality of decisions made, and will also be able to create a public administration system that will be able to qualitatively fulfill the tasks of achieving national development goals.^[1]
