2021: Implementation of the complete hardware-software solution
On January 20, 2021 the JSC KADFEM Si-Ay-Es company announced project completion on implementation of integrated solution for accomplishment of coherent numerical calculations of technology processes for the mineral and raw and fuel and energy sector in the St. Petersburg Mining University. Experts "KADFEM of Si - Ah-Es" took part in creation of laboratory of high-performance computing in educational scientific center of digital technologies of the University. In it the hardware based on servers and the graphic stations FORSITE and the software of Ansys and Rocky with the modules HPC for accomplishment of high-performance computing was set and configured.
According to the company, the management of the university is faced by a number of tasks – from need of carrying out complex researches for the benefit of industrial enterprises of the mining, metallurgical and oil and gas direction and program implementation of advanced training of heads and specialists before participation in implementation of state programs in the field of digital economy and development of mineral resources of Russia.
As the partner for accomplishment of effective objectives the KADFEM of Si — Ah-Es company was selected. Specialists in detail analyzed needs of the customer and suggested to use the integrated software package, the including software for modeling of physical processes of a broad spectrum:
- Rocky DEM for modeling of loose environments by method of discrete elements (DEM);
- Ansys TwinBuilder for creation, validation and deployment of digital doubles;
- Ansys CFD for modeling of currents of liquids and gases;
- Ansys Mechanical for modeling of an intense and deformable status of nodes and constructions;
- Ansys Maxwell for modeling of the electromagnetic systems and Ansys MotorCAD specialized software for design of electric motors;
- Flownex SE for modeling of complex heathydraulic systems.
Experts "KADFEM of Si - Ah-Es" provided installation, setup and implementation of a hardware and software system, including carrying out professional development course for teachers and scientists who lasted for five business weeks.
Implementation of computational modeling allowed:
- cover all equipment which is almost studied at profile departments of the university and processes (from calculation of dynamics of particles of ore in processes of production before electromagnetic calculations and calculations of electric motors);
- simplify integration of different engineering disciplines and create a basis for education of the following wave of students with experience of computational modeling in the corresponding modules of the software;
- develop digital doubles on the basis of computational and system simulation;
- optimize quality and speed of research projects in the field of digital technologies for a mineral and raw complex;
- use modern instruments of digital modeling in the course of advanced training of specialists of the companies of oil and gas and mining sectors.
In 2021 in the industry there is demand for digital solutions, however extremely highly specialized software packages and tools are difficult for implementation and understanding. Digitalization and integration of vertical and horizontal chains from product development to logistics and service will allow to gain animation effects. But digital transformation, including the accelerated training of the specialists and training having special digital competences is necessary for mining for achievement of goals of sustainable development. In general technology development in the field of digital and information technologies will create opportunities for increase in efficiency of the mountain enterprises. Yury Zhukovsky, the director of Educational scientific center of digital technologies of the St. Petersburg Mining University told |
Successful development of applied science in higher education institutions is connected, including, with competences in use of the modern software. Graduates of Mining University, having mastered the software products Rocky, Ansys, Flownex, will be able to draw after the end of training attention to the candidate and to continue to use given software already within the work at design institutes, the engineering and consulting companies and also on production. Andrey Feoktistov, the director of business development of Rocky, JSC KADFEM Si-Ay-Es told |
