2021: Smart Switch Release

On February 4, 2021, Hikvision announced the release of a series of intelligent managed switches for centralized management of all IP devices in the network, comprehensive maintenance of IT security infrastructure based on a unified topology. The Smart Switch automatically generates a network diagram when devices are added to the system and provides a visual demonstration of the system connection. The device is compatible with almost all IP devices in the Hikvision product line: cameras, recorders, decoders, alarm control panels, access controllers, video telephony systems, Wi-Fi bridges, etc.

Hikvision Smart Switches can monitor network status by displaying up-to-date information in the management window and trigger alarm notification when network throughput is exceeded, data rate is reduced, device connection is unstable, or signal loss occurs. You can configure three levels to display the state of the network: white (bandwidth consumption <60%), желтый (потребление пропускной способности от 60 до 80%), красный (нагрузка на сеть составляет ≥80%). It is possible to manage the security system connected to the switch through the iVMS-4200 and HikCentral Professional platforms, Hik-ProConnect (for installers) or Hik-Connect (for users).

Smart switches support working with cameras, including rotary cameras, and real-time preview of the image. Remote system configuration is also available.
