The idea of creating a Russian digital community (union) aimed at consolidating, supporting and developing IT specialists within the country was put forward by the participants of the closed meeting "IT-Saturday without ties" with the participation of the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko and the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs Maksut Shadaev, which took place on May 22, 2021. The meeting was hosted by Alexei Goreslavsky, ex-deputy head of the President's Department for Public Projects, Director General of Dialogue.
The proposal was approved by Sergey Kiriyenko, who emphasized the need to take into account the real needs of IT specialists, receive feedback from them and quickly respond to existing industry problems.
