On November 22, 2021, Alexei Goreslavsky was appointed Director General of the Internet Development Institute (IRI), which was created as a platform for coordinating the interaction of the state, the digital industry and civil society.
Previously, Anton Klyuchkin, who held this post, became an adviser to the head of the IRI and will continue to work with content. He has been the general director of the organization since 2019.
The decision to change the general director was made at the last meeting of the general meeting of the founders of the IRI, which includes representatives of the Association of Electronic Communications (RAEK), the Regional Public Organization "Center for Internet Technologies" (ROCIT), the "Media and Communication Union" (Union "ISS"), the Foundation for the Development of Internet Initiatives (FRI) and the Ministry of Science. Goreslavsky will officially head the IRI on December 1, 2021.
For two years, the Internet Development Institute has done a huge job of building a system for supporting socially significant Internet content and assessing the quality of these projects. Here I speak as a person who saw this evolution, observed an increase in the quality of applications for the competition and the success of the projects themselves. Plus, this year [2021] we became the operator of social advertising - this is another large and responsible area, on the development of which we have to work, "said Goreslavsky, who was previously deputy general director for external communications in the Rambler & Co group of companies. |
He also expressed confidence that IRI has a great future both as a center for ordering socially significant content and as an operator of social advertising. The new general director of the institute sees his role in strengthening the active and professional team and building constructive interaction with all manufacturers.[2]
