Hosting provider FirstVDS has expanded its presence in data centers IXcellerate

2021: Installation of dedicated area for expansion of Moscow Two data center

On August 5, 2021, the company, IXcellerate the operator of commercial data centers in, Russia announced that together with -, hostingprovider FirstVDS they signed an agreement on expanding cooperation. In 2017, the company FirstVDS decided to transfer part of its server and network equipment to the external DPC one in order to ensure reservation the fault tolerance of services and leased Moscow One several racks in the data center of IXcellerate.

In the spring of 2021, the joint team IXcellerate and FirstVDS completed the installation of a dedicated area to deploy the customer's additional IT infrastructure in another data center - Moscow Two. The service contract includes round-the-clock support, the location of the FirstVDS duty service on campus, as well as the direct connection of equipment to the telecom operators Fortex, Digital Network, Telia, DDoSGuard and peer-to-peer platforms Eurasia Peering and MSK-IX.

The need for additional capacities arose at the hosting operator due to the dynamic growth and expansion of the infrastructure base. According to the to data REG.ru analytical portal StatOnline in 2020, the company entered the TOP-3 hosts by the number virtual of (VPS) and dedicated (Dedicated) servers tied to domains to in the zone RU.

FirstVDS chose IXcellerate as an outsourcing partner based on the results of monitoring the Russian data center market and its leading players. IXcellerate designed an infrastructure module for FirstVDS designed for high-performance computing with a load of up to 12kW per rack. This installation is made for FirstVDS servers, which are equipped with an internal, completely isolated cold water cooling circuit. The placement of racks in a closed cold corridor with an increased area of ​ ​ cold air inflow made it possible to avoid the installation of additional air conditioners and thereby reduce operating costs.
