Increase in power capacity of a campus of DPC in Moscow up to 26 MW

On June 16, 2020 the IXcellerate company, the operator of network of commercial centers of data processing in Russia, announced that she put the power center into operation and increased the connected power power of the campus of DPC in Moscow up to 26 MW.

Obtaining the certificate of conformity to the level of reliability Tier III from Uptime Institute

IXcellerate, the operator of commercial data centers in Russia, reported on February 6, 2020 that his data center Moscow Two received the certificate of conformity to the level of reliability Tier III from Uptime Institute in category Design. According to the results of certification Moscow Two was included into number 32 of the commercial and operator DPCs in Russia certified on compliance of Tier III in one of three categories: Design, Facility, Operations that makes about 22% of a total quantity of data centers in this segment.

The classification system of Tier represents the safe method for comparison of the objects implemented according to special requirements on the basis of the expected performance of their infrastructure of an object and non-failure operation of work. The Tier III level means reservation of critical nodes of DPC, ways of receiving the electric power and routes of delivery of coolant. Data centers of the Tier III level have a possibility of an output of any node from operation for its service with preserving of complete functionality of an object in general.

Completion of construction and opening of Moscow Two

The IXcellerate company, the operator of network of commercial centers of data processing, announced on October 3, 2019 completion of construction and opening of Moscow Two – the second data center in Russia. As result the total quantity is resistant - places of IXcellerate was 3315 units that brought the company to the third position in the rating of domestic DPCs.

According to the company, the data center of IXcellerate Moscow Two is constructed rapidly – in 6 months. It is completely ready for operation and conforms to all necessary international standards. By the time of its opening by the current and new clients more than 85% of capacities are reserved.

The area of the machine Moscow Two hall is 3000 sq.m on which it is located 1480 with firmness - places. According to IXcellerate, it is the biggest in Russia (as of October 3) the mono-volume machine hall in a segment of commercial data centers. The DPC is designed for placement of the high-loaded servers and infrastructure for superdense calculations. Its power capacity is 12 MW, from them 7.5 MW are planned for useful IT loading. Availability of service, according to the statement, is provided at the level of 99.999%. Uptime Institute Russia already conducts work on certification of data center on compliance to the Tier III level.

The volume of investments in cumulative capacities of two objects of IXcellerate is estimated at $80 million. On the next stage, during the period from 2019 to 2023, the company is going to construct two more data centers for the total amount about $230 million in the Moscow region. Financing of construction of the following DPC is planned, including, at the expense of borrowing facilities. According to the development strategy the cumulative capacity of objects of IXcellerate by 2023 will exceed 15000 with firmness - places that, by estimates of the company, will allow it to occupy about 25% of the local market.

Selection of $30 million for construction and start of the second DPC in Moscow

The IXcellerate company, the operator of commercial data centers, announced on February 6, 2019 the beginning of construction of the second data processing center in Moscow and the planned investments in the amount of $260 million according to the 5-year development strategy in Russia.

It is supposed to invest $30 million in 2019 in creation and start of the second data center of IXcellerate — Moscow Two. According to plans of IXcellerate, DPC will correspond to the level of reliability Tier III and it is expected placement of 1485 high-loaded racks with cumulative power of 12 MW. Read more here.
