2021: Verme WFM Implementation
On September 9, 2021, the IT company Verme announced that, together with the Spar Middle Volga retail network, it had implemented a project to automate the forecasting and scheduling of retail employees.
In 2019, the task of accurate centralized forecasting of staff load based on buyer traffic, seasonality and the influence of external factors arose. Before the start of the project, the staff worked according to the classic 2/2 schedule, which was convenient for employees, but not effective from a business point of view.
According to the results of the pilot project for the implementation of Verme WFM, the accuracy of forecasting the real load on the personnel of the outlet reached 98%, so it was decided to replicate the system to the Spar Middle Volga retail network.
"The implementation of the Verme WFM solution allowed us to significantly improve the quality of the sales forecast, balance the load on staff during the working day and at the same time get an effective schedule for work in the store departments," added Anna Domnicheva, Head of Labor and Wages at Spar. |
During the implementation of WFM, it was decided to add a module to the Verme ecosystem "Facial biometrics," which allowed with a high level of accuracy to identify employees who have left the shift, automatically generate a timesheet for all categories of employees and transmit information online to the personnel system for further payment of advances and salaries. As a result, the actual exit of employees to the planned schedule ensures the planned level of service set at the level of the whole company and an increase in labor discipline.
"The task is to implement a system that will take into account all personnel, including outsourcing. Therefore, at the next stage of the project, the PVP module (external personnel portal) was connected. Now, through the WFM system, store managers automatically place applications for employee outsourcing and monitor time worked through the facial biometrics module "- clarified Anna Domnicheva, Head of Labor and Wages at Spar. |
To solve the strategic business task of the company to create a single shift exchange staff, in the spring of 2021, the Mobile Schedule module was launched into industrial operation, which allows employees to log into the system from the phone, see the schedule and choose an additional shift. In the future, this will become the platform for launching the Verme Swing Fund module inside the network. Retail store managers will be able to quickly place open shifts that will be visible to all staff of neighboring stores. Thanks to this, employees will be able to work in different stores, optimally close the need and receive additional earnings.
As a result of the implementation of the Verme ecosystem solution complex at the beginning of September 2021, Spar received a single automated system for forecasting and operational management of all categories of line employees in 114 stores of the network.
