In September 2021, it became known about the launch in Russia of the first robot banker. We are talking about a joint project of the Russian National Commercial Bank (RNKB) and Promobot.

As Oleg Kivokurtsev, development director of Promobot, told TASS, the robot was launched in one of the bank branches at Simferopol Airport in Crimea. He can register a credit card and open an account.

It is noted that robots can already be found in branches of various banks, but, according to the developers, this is the first robot that can not only advise, but also provide banking services.

Earlier it was reported that robots Promobot companies will work in one of. banksOman The contract for the launch of a pilot project to equip bank offices with robot consultants was concluded with the National Bank of Oman. Russian robots were supposed to advise customers, talk about the bank's services, answer questions, help fill out documents and applications, removing part of the load from the staff. It was about 40 units of equipment, the amount of the contract was estimated at more than $1 million.

Earlier, the Promobot robot began advising customers of the Russian Geobank. He was hired by a multifunctional bank office of a credit institution. The robot is able to perform the functions of several employees at once, as well as additional tasks, for example, to photograph and print photos. The company believes that banking workers will be completely replaced by robots over time.[1]
