Interfill continues to automate its warehouses with AXELOT, which allowed the company to ensure full control of personnel during warehouse operations and make the turnover transparent, given in this case, the features of the warehouse business processes. Axelot announced this on May 24, 2022.

The process of acceptance through the automated workplace has also undergone a change. When scanning the barcode of an item, the system automatically determines the document on which the acceptance will be carried out, and upon completion of the acceptance, two labels are printed: internal transport and client.

The process of placing storage places through the data collection terminal has been improved. At When placing an entire pallet, it is necessary to scan not only the barcode of the pallet, but also the barcode of the product. Thus, the correct marking of accepted pallets is re-checked.

The logic of working with an uncertified product has changed. Select such an item allowed, but not allowed to be shipped from the warehouse until the moment of certification. Accordingly, when you create shipping tasks, the system also checks the status of the batch being shipped.

A mechanism for printing an updated transport label (pallet tag) was implemented when selecting storage objects from the shipping documentation. Since the transport label should always contain up-to-date information on the number of remaining boxes on the pallet, it is possible to print the current etiquette with the updated quantity when selecting storage objects at the shipping documentation.

Additional control of compatibility of the pallets placed in the finished orders storage area has been implemented, since the current warehouse processes are prohibited Mix the storage locations of different orders in an area specific to a particular gate.

2021: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5

Axelot WMS X5 is implemented in the Interfill warehouse. This was announced on September 24, 2021 by Axelot (Axelot).

Automation of the Interfill warehouse made it possible not only to meet the basic needs of the warehouse, but also to take into account the specifics of the warehouse operation during production.

Interfill LLC for September 2021 has a warehouse of raw materials and components in the city of Tosno, Leningrad Region. The storage area is almost 14,000 sq.m., the number of stored items of goods is 1300.

Similar warehouses in production have a number of features. For example, ensuring uninterrupted movements between the raw material warehouse and production, monitoring shelf life, batches, batches of goods. It is also necessary to resolve issues with the collection of finished goods from production and its preparation for further shipment.

The management of Interfill Company consistently solves the issues of integrated organization of logistics processes in the warehouse. After providing the warehouse with equipment, purchasing transport and optimizing the warehouse topology, we talked about automating warehouse logistics management.

It was decided to implement the AXELOT WMS X5 system, a versatile, flexible software solution with a wide range of functionality and high performance. Using the system gives access to real-time planning, execution and monitoring of all warehouse process operations. The project was divided into two parts - first they introduced a WMS system in the warehouse of raw materials and packaging, and already in 2021 it is planned to automate the warehouse of finished products.

First of all, it was decided to automate the main technological processes - acceptance, labeling, placement, selection and shipment, replenishment and inventory procedure. Also, AXELOT specialists involved in the project implementation integrated AXELOT WMS X5 with the customer's ERP system, the DATAREON MQ message queuing service was used as the integration technology.

The demand for raw materials and materials is planned in the CIS and is carried out with accuracy to the final units of measurement. Analysis and rounding to the size of the indivisible quantum (packages) is carried out in WMS - it is the resulting quantity that is then planned for selection.

The shipping plan is divided into several shipping orders. One application for the selection of components is loaded from the CIS, as it is selected, the performers divide it into several orders. For example, there is a part that needs to be transferred to production, and so that it does not have to wait for the assembly of the entire order, it is broken. What has already been selected is transferred to production, the rest continues to be selected.

Also, WMS records and transmits to the CIS information about the return container in which raw materials and components are supplied for production. Information on the container is specified in the storage objects and, depending on the storage objects and layers on the pallet, information on the amount of returned container is transmitted to the CIS.

Automation has reduced the number of manual operations performed by warehouse employees. For example, the integration, transfers, and postings of documents used to be performed by warehouse employees. The receiving/shipping documents are now created, completed, and posted automatically. Another example: based on the results of acceptance, the document Marking is created, while one type of label is formed for the accepted quantity, multiples of packages, and another type of label is formed for the accepted quantity. Everything is printed from one document by pressing a button, previously it was done manually and took a lot of time.

Personnel usage is monitored. Operations are quantized in such a way that it is possible to calculate and update on the fact of the production rate. The selected parts of the operations allow you to take into account the development that can be compared with the norm.

The introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 has provided Interfill management with new opportunities for operational control of the warehouse and assessment of its efficiency through real-time management.
