2021: Implementing Hikvision Intelligent Technologies

Intelligent technologies Hikvision for video analysis helped speed up the process of medical providing assistance in, Clinical Hospital No. 4 of Vladivostok (VKB4) said Hikvision on September 27, 2021.

In 2020, against the background of an aggravated situation with the spread of coronavirus infection, VKB4 was completely repurposed as an infectious disease hospital.

As of September 2021, the hospital has an intelligent video monitoring system based on Hikvision equipment - IP cameras, an intelligent DeepinMind DVR and the software platform HikCentral. The integrator of the project was the telecommunications company MTS.

The main task that the smart system in VKB4 solves is to control the queues and waiting times of patients, monitor compliance with established standards, count people and analyze attendance. For each of these parameters, statistics and reports are HikCentral generated using analytical modules: how many and when patients arrived, how quickly they received medical care, on what hours or days the largest number of visitors is observed, and, accordingly, when additional staff are required to work with patients. Information is available in convenient formats of graphs and tables, as well as heat maps.

A special facial recognition module captures an image of patients in the database - based on these photos, the system generates statistics on the expectation and time of care for each patient individually. With the help of the database, the hospital administration can also quickly generate a history of visits and obtain information about appointments over a selected period of time.

The two-way audio communication system built into the cameras allows for additional patient safety - the operator can not only receive sound information about the situation in the reception room, but also transmit audio messages and notifications to visitors through the speaker.
