2023: Product Announcement

In early December 2023, the Mobile Oxy ventilator was announced, which was developed at the Ural Instrument-Making Plant (UPZ, part of the KRET of the Rostec state corporation). The new device, as noted by the developers, was created specifically for patients with coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, chronic pulmonary diseases during their exacerbation and heart disease, when there is insufficient oxygen saturation in the blood.

As the press service of Rostec clarifies, Mobile Oxy is intended for high-flow oxygenotherapy. This method is a supportive therapy and is only suitable for patients who can breathe on their own.

This is a very light weight and easy to use the latest domestic artificial lung ventilation device. Today in Russia this device has no domestic analogues. "Mobile Oxy" can become the base for use in hospitals: it is easy to transport, it has a very simple and intuitive interface, its ergonomics takes into account the current conditions in Russian hospitals, "said Aleksey Melnikov, deputy general director for the development of civilian products and national projects at KRET, whose words are quoted by the Rostec press service.

He added that Mobile Oxy has a function of transmitting data from monitored indicators to the information network of the medical institution. Its development has been carried out since 2021. The start of sales of new equipment is scheduled for 2025.

"Mobile OKSI" entered the line "Mobile," which also includes the universal device "Mobile," mobile "Mobile ARM," "Mobile NEO" for newborns and the device of the expert class "Mobile MAXI."[1]

2021: The government has allocated Rostec ₽630 million for the development of new Mobile ventilators

At the end of October 2021, it became known that the Ural Instrument-Making Plant (UPZ; included in the "KRET" of the state corporation "Rostec") will develop new ventilators, which can be used, among other things, for the treatment of premature babies. 630 million rubles are allocated from the state budget for the implementation of the project .

The line of new ventilators is called "Mobile," according to the Sverdlovsk Department of Information Policy. New items are autonomous devices that can work even in the field. In addition, they have a function to monitor the patient's condition from a distance. It is assumed that the equipment will provide the possibility of remote monitoring of parameters and automatic collection of information from ventilators to medical information systems. Integration of the equipment will be possible both with medical devices manufactured by UPZ and third-party manufacturers.

In total, it is planned to make five models of ventilators, as well as additional equipment for them (telematic module, central monitoring station and unit for high-frequency oscillatory ventilation). The project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation following a competition in which the Ural Instrument-Making Plant took part. The subsidy was allocated under the state program "Development of the electronic and radio-electronic industry."

As specified in the press service of KRET, during the project, the universal IVL device "Aventa-U" will be modernized. The concern recalled that by the end of October 2021, testing of the portable ventilator Aventa-Vit"" is being completed, and the UPZ will also be engaged in its production. The device can be used at home cars and in an ambulance. Among its features are versatility for all ages, independence from external power sources, the ability to work with voltage drops and light weight.[2]
